Hmmm... Are there Star Wars FPS Games?

Greetings.

I am currently developing a character for the fighting game engine MUGEN that acts like a shooting game. One of my stages will be based off of the Star Wars Theme.

Stage 4-1 involves a standoff with Stormtroopers, where it's you and your blaster vs. them.

My question is this: Have there been any Star Wars games made where Stormtroopers attack you in an FPS fashion (meaning they look directly at you and fire, fall over when they die, etc). The closest game I could think of to this would be Star Wars: Rebel Assault, the Stormtrooper stage. Have there been any others? (Am asking this so I can sprite rip).

Any leads would be appreciated. (BTW, Stage 4-2 in this segment is the popular Death Star Trench Battle, but I already have everything I need for that.)

All 5 Dark Forces titles (Dark Forces, Jedi Knight, Mysteries of the Sith, Jedi Outcast, Jedi Academy)
and Battlefront

 

There's Republic Commando.

 

But RC doesn't have Stormies.

 

Rebel Strike, the on foot sections.

All dark forces games.

Battlefront.

 

In other words: yes. There have been 6 Star Wars-themed FPS games. I too am astounded you weren't aware of this. Battlefront at least has recieved much publicity lately, and Dark Forces and Jedi Knight are classics of the genre.

give him a break. maybe hes new to gaming. there are alot of fps's though for starwars, and you really should of checked first. peeing into the wind, you are.

yea find out some star wars games, go to gamespot.com, but please research before posting.

 

My bad for not doing proper research. Just wanted some recommendations from people who would know.

RC (Republic commandos): would be best if the stormtroopers you were designing are meant to be the proffessionals and have really good aiming. Also they do all the fancy rolling on the floor and look most like the SAS or SWAT.

All the other games would be best if you wanted the robotic type stormies who have terrible aim.

Not at all I'm sorry if I came across as agressive or mean, I didn't mean to at all, I was just honestly surprised you hadn't heard of the games in question. Seriously, if you're into FPS games, do yourself a favour and check out the Dark Forces games. The first 2 really are classics
