Nope, I'm a Devils fan first and foremost. ;)

The local media were hyping up the meeting of Chelios and Trevor Linden (who supports Saskin) on the ice. Heh.

Hey, at least they're not in the same conference. And I plan on putting much more effort into my stalking when the Devils are in Vancouver next year. :p

You actually know what Brett Lebda and Darryl Bootland look like onsite?

    Geeze...

Though i gotta say, i like the way Lebda plays. He'll never be a star in this league, but man he can have some good solid games...

    ****!!!!

    Got that out.

3 goal posts and only one goal to show for it. This is not how you wan to start a road trip. Janssens fight had to come sooner or later and that didn't really help the Devils. An obvious trip on Pandolfo in the 2nd could've resulted in a goal, but the refs just let things go. I don't know what to say about the refs or this game right now. Devils didn't even turn it on until late in the 3rd which should've been going on since the start of the game by responding to a ******** goal after a blatant trip.

I'm at a loss for words right now.

Yeah, I was also surprised there was no penalty. Oh well, it worked out on my side. :)

One of my friends is actually the one who initially recognized Bootland. I knew Lebda because, well, I'm a girl and... [face_blush] :p

All things considered, most people were actually pretty cool about it. We wound up talking to a bunch of them, and ending conversations with a hearty handshake and a "good game". Which is one of the reasons I love Canadians. ;)

Hell, I even got hit on by a few guys in Canucks jerseys. [face_laugh]

Now just imagine what it would have been like if big Bert played.

Most fans are ok. We have fun with people cheering for the other team. We never take it too far. For the most part.

You like the new scoreboard? I hear its spiffy, haven't seen it yet.

Flyers failed to end another Rangers streak, falling 5-0 to them tonight and extending the Rangers' recent record to 8-1-3. Good to see Shanahan back in the lineup, and Avery has been rockin' lately, and Prucha is also continuing his return to form. And boy do I hope they keep Callahan on the roster- the kid really makes things happen.

Though it was a shame, and somewhat strange given it coincided with Shanahan's first shift of his return, that the one Flyer had to be taken out by stretcher after getting decked in that fight. Was a clean fight at least, and not a result of the dirtier things that have been injuring players these past few weeks.

Hold up now! That was a defensive move and it was physics that brought Robidas over into Tootoo's fist. It wasn't like Robidas was coming over to serve tea & cookies he was coming over to start trouble. Modano didn't even get penalty minutes for using a weapon on Tootoo seconds later when he slammed his stick over Jordan's back. A punch from the back is alot more of a cheap shot than a face-to-face punch.

The Preds have accepted the punishment (excessive as it may be) and are moving on with life. Now if the president of the Stars can avoid shooting off his mouth about confidential information and get off his high horse, things could get back to normal.

Yes I'll show favortism towards my beloved Predators, forever. So sue me. Go Preds!

I completely agree that i don't think this action was anywhere near as cheap as people think it is. The guy was coming to rough Tootoo up, and Tootoo saw him coming. Now i do wish that he had used his stick (ala Gordie Howe) rather then greet him with a punch (which was rather suckerish), but still.. I cant' fault him for defending himself.

Devils looking like a weak team right now with losing so many guys to injury lately. We seem to getting a groin plaque and at a wrong time in the season. But, I'd rather this happen now then in the playoffs where we really need these guys. Rasmussen was taken out for a upper body injury and now we might as well be playing Lowell with the guys we are bringing in the lineup tonight.

Hopefully, everyone has good feeling tonight and things will turn out for the best. I'm really hoping for a good game from the Devils. They played pretty well in Toronto despite the loss, so hopefully this'll be an interesting game.

Islanders skid is over. It's good to have DiPietro back (I never thought I'd say that) since he's established himself in the top 5 of goalies in this league.

So Luongo passed Brodeur for wins.

And the Canucks are playing amazing hockey and are serious contenders for the cup. I'm actually watching Hockey again!

    So why no Canuck talk?

Meh, as long as nobody passes him in shutouts; I can live with wins. Devils are on a skid anyway, so this was going to happen sooner or later.

Hopefully they can end this skid tonight against the Panthers. Devils need not take these guys lightly and play just as they did on thursday except with more offense. They need some wins if they want to stay in the top of the Atlantic division and hold that 2nd place slot. I'm hoping for a good one tonight.

Eh, the ONLY reason the Canucks could possibly be considered contenders for the Cup is because of Luongo... He could get hot and carry them thru a couple of rounds (which could happen. What a goalie!)

Besides him, though, that team does NOT scare me. Your offense consists of the Sedin Twins.

Naslund is a ghost of his former self, and hasn't been the same since the Bertuzzi incident.

Yeah, it's awesome. I took these pics of it. The first was the announcement that Mr. Hockey was in the building (!!). The second... just made me chuckle. :p

Our seats weren't bad. That is, until we looked down at our friends, who were sitting on the glass in the corner. [face_not_talking]

Rangers and Bruins went to a shootout this afternoon, after a last minute goal in the 3rd by Polk to tie it up and scores by Jagr and Nealander in the SO itself. 9-1-3! :D

Tommorow afternoon's game against the Isles will be interesting...

Tomorrow is the biggest Isles-Rags game in 13 years. God I can't wait. I'm going to throw up, I'm so excited. I don't have tickets, but I'm going to scour the intraweb to find a few. I just can't believe that NBC isn't making this the national game. Let's see, a Penguins team all but guaranteed a playoff spot playing a Bruins team out of it, or one of the best rivalries in sport in the biggest game for both teams against each other in over a decade. This game is appointment viewing if you're a sports fan. I just can't tell you how amped up I am for this. If the Isles lose, I don't think I wanna talk to Baron ever again, even though we both love the Mets. This game is THAT big.

To put it in perspective, I've told my dad that if I go to the game, he's going to have to stay by a phone, because I'm getting arrested one way or another and am gonna need bail.

    The headlines in Newsday (LI's paper) will read;

"Isles Win Battle of NY, Fan Streaks to Celebrate"

    OR

"Rangers Win Battle of NY, Fan Arrested for "Simoning" Rangers Fans"

    OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH BABY!!

WE GOT A HOT ONE HERE TONGIGHT, YO!!!

    LET'S GO ISLANDERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
