How big is the Chiss fleet? Spoilers

How big is it? I read DJ, and it never mentioned how big it was, except a few fighters. Would Thrawn have given them a few large ships and plans to build large ships when he was in charge of half the galaxy? I heard they don't have any ships over 300 meters. AND when does the newessential guide to ships come out again?

 

The main chiss(as in the chiss based on Csilla)have the Chiss Expansionary defense force with an unknown number and legth of ships.

Thrawn Phelenxe, is equuipted mostly with fighters and no larger the 300 meter ships.

 

I think the Chiss mainly use fighters and carriers during conflict.And I think they must have a few picket ships to patrol their space.

I'm also not sure whether Thrawn gave ship plans to the Chiss,seeing he's an exile.But,I wonder what they did with the Admonitor.

 

Admonitor? what is that?

 

The Admonitor is the Star Destroyer that Thrawn commanded into the Unknown Regions after joining the Empire.

 

I read that Palpatine was feeding money and Ships to them for years.
I'd be surprised if Thrawn didn't.

 

I would suspect that thrawn would at least give the Chiss a few ships to add to their defense, and even if he was outcasted, he would still love his homeplanets.

 

Yes he did very well keeping them hiden.

 

Not very much and not very big ships, since they have only the ressources of 28 planets to build and to maintain them.

The forces of the "Hand of Thrawn" are another matter, since they control over twohundredfifty sectors.

That is what I meant, maybe a few dozen dreadnaughts and a few star destroyers.

Yes, but that proves nothing. A phalanx is like a military unit, the term is actually a term for a Greek military unit/formation, so 28 phalanxes=28 military houses. If each military house only has like 5 ships, point taken, but if each house has like 500 ships... that would make matters significantly different.
So, until it is stated how many ships each phalanx has, the fact that there are 28 phalanxes proves nothing.

 

Good point, but the Chiss can also build ships. They might be able to build smaller ships on the ground, or they might have shipyards.
