How could Vergere have met Anakin?

In Traitor, Vergere says that she had met Anakin when he was 13 years old. Well, Anakin and Obi-Wan voyaged to Zonama Sekot when he was 12, and that was the time when the planet left. Vergere visited Zonama Sekot before they had and gave herself to the Yuuzhan Vong, so how could she have met Anakin when he was 12?

Educated guesswork at his age.

 

Yeah, educated guess. Some non-humans find it hard to determine the exact age of humans beings, and vice versa. Vergere *did* meet Anakin (in Rogue Planet, Anakin recalls meeting her), though he was younger than she thought.

Considering Anakin Skywalker is actually ten in the novelization, he'd have been 13 when he went to Zonama Sekot. However, Vergere would never have known the 13 year old Anakin as she disappeared a year before Obi-Wan and Anakin were sent to find her. Book age wise, she would have only known a 12 year old Anakin.

HE spent most of his time in the desert in some backwater(but important)world in the outer-rim...he prob saw this type of stuff happen....
of course that would explain why he couldnt compose love poetry....

Vergere didn't disappear until about a year after TPM, so she most certainly had the opportunity to meet Anakin.

 

She said that she met him when he was 12 or 13, but that was after Vergere dissappeared on Zonama Sekot.

 

She said no more than 12 or 13. He could of been a mature looking 11 year old.

Vergere didn't know Anakin's age, exactly. It's not that big a deal.

 

Yes, he could have been a mature looking 11 year old. And Vergere is an alien and may not be very good at estimating a human's age.

Also whether or not Anakin acted mature has nothing to do with him looking mature.

 

A little of the topic, but it has to do with Vergere. If she is a Female fosh...where are the rest of her species? I've been under the impression that she's like Yoda, the only one/only one left of her species. Maybe Yoda could be a Male fosh? I've seen the pics of Vergere and Yoda nothing alike, but maybe.....

 

The Fosh species is nearly extinct, that's all.

I read somewhere that the Fosh were a species killed out by the Empire.

 

Their tears would have been deemed too dangerous by the Emperor.

Either that was purposefully put in so it showed that Vergere's educated guesses could be slightly off and that she wasn't always completely correct in ehr ways, or they put it in for us SW Fans to have something to argue about, or once again Del Rey let another continuity error slip through their hands.

 

Not all Fosh tears can cure. In Destiny's Way, it says Vergere is able to engineer her tears to cure.

Maybe the Empire Stormtroopers found out that the Fosh species taste like chicken

 

In Traitor it says that Vergere can make her tears do whatever she wants them to do. Like they're at her will/command. Maybe she could make poison, we all already know she can make cures. Even for those diseases that are from different galaxies. I don't think she needs to "Engineer" them, she just needs to think about it.
