PT How did Obi-Wan fake leaving Utapau?

I was watching ROTS the other day, and remembered something I was always confused by. After Obi-Wan speaks to Tion, he gets into his ship, but then in the next scene, he's standing outside watching the droid fly it away. How did he manage to escape the ship without the separatists noticing? Is that discussed anywhere? Are there theories?

 

He used his jedi stealth powers like those on display in A New Hope when he's sneaking around the Death Star.

 

On the death star, no one was watching him to make sure he left.

its one of the deleted scenes, i think, but i am pretty sure it was in the theatrical screening.

I always think that! literally every time i watch that scene i wonder. it just doesn't really make sense

what, it wasn't deleted in any version, it's a vital scene

Yes, it's not a deleted scene. It's all in the movie. All you have to do is use your imagination to fill the gap. That's what I do in all six movies.

 

Obi Wan is good at being stealthy.

 

Yeah you have to fill in the blanks, I suppose. I figured he used force speed to dart into the shadows.

He did what a magician does when they go into a box and they appear somewhere else, but Obi-Wan will never tell you his secrets

I just watched the film and it's actually pretty clear what happens based on the sequence of events:

Obi-Wan gets in his ship and talks to R4

Grievous' droids walk away

Then we see the ship take off

Obi-Wan, in all likelihood, slipped out of the ship once the sentinels' backs were turned
