Is there an EU answer or any theories? Can he take off his face mask and eat in his little chamber? Or is everything fed him intraveinously? Or can you put food in the slots on his chest plate and press those buttons to grind it up and tube feed him?

And what does he eat and drink? Something like baby food might be easy to digest. And Tang is the official astronaut drink so maybe he likes that?

    Thoughts?

I'm not sure. He could do with a Tune if you ask me.

EDIT: Managed to find the advert I was referencing:

Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader:

He could take food through his mouth, as well, but only when he was inside a hyberbaric chamber, since he had to remove the triangular respiratory vent that was the mask's prominent feature. So it was easier to receive nourishment through liquids, intravenous and otherwise, and to rely on catheters, collection pouches, and recylcers to deal with liquid and solid waste.

Yeah I say he took his helmet off in one of those chambers and ate like any normal person, or else he was fed through a tube like some people in our world.

Or since he was turned into a cyborg he had no need to eat.

I've always wondered about that, particularly with the scene about Vader and the rebels on Bespin. I tend to agree he probably ate in his chambers.

See those liyyle metal caps at the end of his masks? Tang straw slots. Yep, official food of the Dark Lords after that undercooked shyrack incident at the Korriban Buffet.

According to the Dark Lord: the rise of Darth Vader, he can take food and dring by removing the lower part of his mask, but he prefers to take nutrients intravenously.

I'm pretty sure he eats any normal food. Bantha burgers, blue milk milkshakes . . . y'know, stuff like that. But I'm also pretty sure he's got a blender in that thar oxygen egg specifically for making dinner. Last I heard, Bantha burgers make pretty good smoothies . . .

Oh, wait. Did you want a serious answer? Then I'd say he takes everything with an IV. *nod*

Unlikely. He only lost his limbs and charred his lungs and skin. Even a brain floating in a jar needs nutrients. He's a cyborg, not dead.

Perhaps it's like in Robocop (delightfully violent movie) were Robocop eats some kind of babyfood.
