FF:NSW How LAME is the Hungry Jacks ad!

Just saw it on tv...

While showing clips from ATOC, the voice over guy goes "now join in the battle between good and evil, with your very own Star Wars CUP!"

They are 4 cup lids molded into figurine type things of Padme, Yoda, a clonetrooper and 'a CLASSIC' Darth Vader...

Anyway... I thought it's a shocker and Lucasfilm should be ashamed...

But at least the ad on TV shows clips from the movie so all is not lost...

worst ad by far: sprouts

 

I hate the sprouts add. I was saying wtf the first time I saw it. Another ad I hate are the mbf insurance ones with the weird woman the eyes.

 

The ad with the Charity song...U know "Help stop celebrity charity songs?"

I hate that ad

 

Gotta love that "Nike Secret Tournament" ad with all the big name soccer players.

i don't like the one where the dirty teeth are all having fun and the clean teeth are just sitting around doing nothing. seriously, what does that tell you? if your teeth are dirty, at least they're having fun. if you keep them clean they don't get to have any fun. that's not a good message to be sending people. at least not when you're trying to sell mouthwash

i also think the one with the fountain and the bracelet and the girl drops the bracelet in the fountain so they have to get it but the water falling is in the way so they have to stop the water falling so, hey, why don't we just stick a pad on the little fountain boy's appendage. that commercial is just plain weird...

 

The ads that i hate are all macca's ads, they are written by someone with a book of stereotypes and nothing else for brains


As for that Nike Secret Tournament ad, I like it, for the reason that it was directed by Terry Gilliam, if you don't who he is, you suck.

 

The porridge ads (?) with the little kid "It's nearly as good as a big warm hug..." then his grandma bear hugs him and he says, "On second thoughts, it's even better..."


SMTT, big time.

 

I really dislike the MBF ad with the woman who laughs at anything. She makes my hairs stand on end with fright

Best ad? Has to be that campaign a few months back where a bunch of people did wierd stuff to the tune of "Believe it or not!" (eg. the guy surfing off his roof, the mother tackling a kid at footy, the bloke doing a nudie run through sprinklers). Brilliant

 

Dont forget the business man on the tricycle going down the hill...

and there's the add where the twins are saying the same thing right after each other. that one gets really annoying really fast.

I hate the Clearview ads aka Sprouts.

And I HATE HATE HATE the ad with the old woman who is dusting her porcelain figurines, hears the postman pull up on his motorbike thing and she whispers He's here! or something and runs/skips out to the mailbox "Bills, bills, YES YES" *hops around*. Sips a cocktail sitting next to her pool and falls asleep

 

That ad I hate!

How can you get so bloody excited about your bloody term deposit getting back? It defies all human logic, she should be taken out into the back paddock with the lame dog and shot

Worst ads ever: McDonald's Anzac day ads ...

Where the Maccas girl serves an anzac veteran, and he says thank you, and she says, "No - thank YOU."


Are we already an American state? Did I miss a memo?

That is such a trashy load of horse hockey - as if Maccas gives a toot about Anzac Day - an American company promoting itself with an Australian day of rememberance ...

The worst ad, we all agree is the MBF one
the best is the Thins Pat rafter ones, i've seen them atleast 20 times each, and they still make me laugh.

 

Has anyone seen the Yellowpages ad where the kids playing cricket break a window, and they ring up a window guy to have it fixed, and it turns out the window they broke was the window guys store? Funny stuff

 

I like the Yellowpages plumber ad: the guys hears dripping and calls a plumber, and it turns out it's the woman's computer making drip noises every time a message pops up...

 

Two great Ads - both Foxtel ones.

Just prior to the Aussie cricket teams tour of South Africa there was one where the kids are playing cricket in the street and one kid's dad asks if he can play.

They say yes and then the dad sets the field etc and then takes a HUGE run up and nearly decapitates his son - then gives him a send off! - classic

and then there's the current Rugby League one.. where a family is playing touch footy and the grandfather is in the clear - a kid comes from nowhere to hammer him into a picnic then that kid grabs the ball and runs the length of the field to score...

two gems...

 

the worst ad on australian tv is the one for the phone company which is offering cheap calls to the usa and uk and there is an aussie actor trying to do a fake american accent "yeah hi this john matthews ... hold on a minute ... anticlockwise"

the jokes not even funny!

 

speaking of that commercial...

am i the only one that finds it funny that it costs the same to call NZ as it does the UK and the US? isn't NZ, like, way closer dude?

The Priceline ad. She's flipping, she's swinging, she's jumping, she's pissing me off.

And the HCF girl pisses me off too.

And that Maccas ad with the tagline "Get it India!".
