How long does it take you to pee?

So I was having a discussion with a friend and apparently she has never given any thought to this serious issue. How can you know if you have a normal pee cycle if you don't know what "normal" is? I remember watching some movie (I think it was one of the Revenge of the Nerds movies) and some dude was peeing for a long time. I knew it was a long pee, but I really didn't know how long he was peeing for. So that made me wonder just how long a "normal" pee is. Well, I have a watch. And I pee quite a bit. And I've got nothing better to do when I'm peeing. So....I started timing my pee.

Turns out that I average about 20-30 seconds on a normal pee. When I let my bladder get really full, but not quite to pain levels, I get up to about 1:10 or 1:15.

Longest pee? 1:50-something. That was after LotR: RotK. That movie pissed me off! I'd mistakenly drank a large diet coke about halfway through the movie, and tried to hold it 'till the end of the movie. After like the 5th ending, I was ready to explode. I could barely walk, but I finally made it to the restroom.

I was in such pain that I forgot to start timing right away, which is why I'm fuzzy on exactly how long it took. During that pee, it struck me how remarkably vulnerable we are while we pee. I mean, it's not like you can stop. You're standing at the urinal (if you're a guy) with your junk hanging out for a really long time.

So am I the only one who knows how long it takes them to pee? Are you thinking about timing your pee from now on? If so, this thread is a success already!

I can honestly say I've never given any thought to how long I spend peeing. I would consider timing it, but would probably be embarrassed by the whole idea when it actually came to timing it.

 

I refuse to take a stopwatch into my hands when peeing.

 

Rivaling that is the time that I determined the only way to make sure I got in my fluid requirements was to drink a full 64 oz of water all at once, just before I left for the day. I made it maybe an hour and twenty minutes, then staggered painfully down the hallway to the restroom. I have no idea how long it took, though.

 

No one warned me!! I hadn't done my research. I had no idea the movie was 3 days long!

You'd think that. But really, what else are you gonna do while you're peeing? It's a great way to avoid conversation in the restroom (a clear violation of the man rules anyway).

 

So how many of you will think about timing yourself ( not doing it, just thinking of it) next time you pee?

 

My brother went for 15 minutes after watching that movie...

 

Well, I read this thread and immediately had to go drink a heap of water to find out. I will get back with results in about 10 minutes

 

I can't wait! Oh. Experience tells me that longest results occur when you hold your pee for at least an hour.

 

It needs to be a fair test! Don't give out hints and tips!

 

I had a friend in high school who timed her pees. Her longest one was around 4:30 but she busted it senior year by not peeing for 24 hours or something really unhealthy.

Holy crap! 4 mins??? Is this normal for women? What is normal for women? Do women have bigger bladders than guys?

This is important!

 

Wimmen can sit down and relax, alone. We guys have to stand somewhere with our junk out, usually with other guys present. OF COURSE they can take longer.

 

Convenience > sitting down and relaxing.

Normally, not long.

But I think I broke a record this morning, after all the beer I drank last night.

 

53 seconds, I think that is probably average for me.

 

4 minutes is NOT normal, she was trying to make her pee last as long as possible for self-competition purposes, meaning she had a very full bladder and was probably controlling stream volume.

 

It depends if I'm taking a regular pee or a master pee.

 

The actual peeing doesn't take me too long, but getting started can take a while.

 

I generally last from 30 to 50 seconds. My favorite is probably in the minute and a half margin. Never timed myself.

Also, I hadn't gone to the toilet all morning, drank a heap of water and it still only took like a minute. 53 seconds.
