How many confedarte systems are represented in the Galactic Senate?

Any Idea on the exact figure?

Does it change in each film-TPM AOTC & ROTS?

I think I've heard the number 50 million thrown around, but I couldn't tell you the source. This was second-hand information. And I don't think that was the number of senators there, else the hall would be alot bigger. I always assumed that a good many of these planets were combined under a singular senatorial representative.

Well obviously the number changes for Attack of the Clones.

    There's a reason they're called Seperatists :)

You mean the seperatist systems do not attend senate proceedings?

I don't see why they would. it'd be like the South getting to sit in on Northern Senate meetings during the Civil war. :p

From what I understand, there's a million represented systems in the Republic prior to AOTC. Not every system has it's own representative, however: IIRC, it's said that the Naboo Senator is responsible for something like thirty-six worlds.

There are 1024 Senate platforms. Each one represents dozens or hundreds of different systems.

And Sidious probably controlled the majority of them(by the time of AOTC):

    - Hundreds of senators are now under the influence of a Sith Lord called Darth Sidious.

No, wait a minute! He more or less controlled all of them, since he was at the head of the Senate :)

Well, in the junior novelization, or something to that effec of TPM it desribed Palpatine as a "Sector Senator" who represented many worlds, Naboo being one of them. I think this idea played down in the film because it made Naboo seem "less significant" to Palpatine. But it makes sense. You cant very well squeeze 50 million or so senators into one building. Someone would have to be sittin on someone else's lap in that thing. [jeff foxworty] lol

There are also representatives from the commerce guilds (Lott Dod, Wat Tambor, Passel Argente etc...) and I think some Senators only represent their homeworld or system, not the entire sector.

But as mentioned above, only 1,024 Senators in any one Senate session. As of AotC, several thousand systems have left, or are leaving, the Republic, with ten thousand more ready to secede with the support of the commerce guilds.
