I'm trying to get a Census on this question. I was wondering this the other day and I honestly had no idea so I wanted to poll the public. What do you think? If you've moved out, should you still tell your parents what you want for Christmas? Or is it an age limit thing? Do you think that by age 21 you shouldn't still be requesting gifts from your parents?

    Vote & explain.

    :)

I voted "other". I've given up asking my parents (I'm 18) because there is little chance I will ever get what I ask for. My siblings on the other hand usually get me what I ask for.

I voted "21 to 24 years". IMO, that's not too soon and not too old either. However once you get to a certain age, like 25, maybe you should stop asking your parents what you what.

Although that's only my opinion ... hence why I started a Census.

    :)

I'm gonna say-"As soon as you move out". Because alot of people move out by their mid-twenties, so that seems about right, IMHO. :)

Other. I think it's tacky to ask for presents at any age, but if they're asking you (this is general "you", not anyone in particular) what you want, then answering is of course all right.

I stopped asking for Xmas presents when I was fourteen. I still get stuff, but I don't expect anything. It's not an age thing, I think it just depends on the person and on their parents.

If they ask, it's never too old. I mean, I know lots of peopl ewho are in their 30s who will say, in general, that they need such and such an item, and the parents usually take it upon themselves to get it.

I'm going to say never - I am in my mid-20's, but there are some things that I cannot afford on my own...I've fallen on bad times, and I'm low on money at the moment. When I do eventually move out again, money is going to be tight, so there will be the odd thing or two that I'm going to need to help me, so I will say "If you haven't thought of anything to get me for Christmas, I really could do with..."

Life is hard, and there are times where you do require a helping hand. Learn this: appreciate your parents! One day, you WILL need their help. Just remember to return the favour once in a while! @};-

I feel that i'm never too old to ask. All I usually want is money anyways, so it's an easy gift to give.

Wow. A lot of Never responses.

I too am under the assumption that if you need something, Christmas is the best time to ask for it. Whether it be from your parents or not.

So ask away! It's like a freebe day.
