Full Series How would you feel if Anakin grew facial hair at some point in the series?

This just randomly popped into my mind before, some may think its a horrible idea, some might think it'd be great...

but what if for Season 5 or something, Anakin would grow a goatee or some form of facial hair? Obviously he would need to shave it off by the time Episode III happens but I think it'd be pretty amusing.

It could lead to some humorous dialogue between him and Obi-Wan.

Obi Wan: The facial hair doesn't make the Jedi, Anakin.

Anakin: Speak for yourself...

Obi Wan: At least in your case.

 

I wouldn't mind, it would be pretty funny if he had some weak/thin/patchy/scraggly teenage moustache just for a few episodes.

Strike that, Ahsoka would ruin it by being Ahsoka.

 

No, but I am wondering when long haired Anakin will show up.

It's not the length he has in ROTS.

Probably won't see it until Season 5

 

He should grow a full-length Dumbledore beard, and then he loses it in a spar with Dooku.

The rest of the Season he's incapacitated by grief over his beard, allowing other Jedi to take the spotlight.

This would also be another attachment crisis to pop up, thus further catalysing Anakin's inevitable fall the the Dark Side.

A scraggy bit of facial fuzz would be a fair way of displaying a passage of time without relying on shoehorned dialogue. An example would be when Anakin gets captured in season 4, it would seem reasonable for him to come out of incarceration with a bit of a beard.

It will probaly never happen though.

 

Anakin getting stubble on long missions = amazing leap in animation/believability.

Anakin growing a mustache = creepy...

 

While I would love to see the Dumbledore beard episode, Anakin just can't grow facial hair. I somehow like to think beards are cool, and IMO Anakin is The Master of Uncool.

There's no need for facial hair on Anakin, its pointless.

They should so put it in one of the seasons. I can see it now:

Anakinadme what would you think if I grew a beard?

Padme: You better not and if you did I feel more sorry for you than for the beard itself. Why do you ask?

Anakin: No reason.

Anakin goes on a really log mission comes back with full beard.

Ashoka: what happened to you face skywolf-I mean sky guy? You do know the planet you were on did have razors and you did have you lightsabre.

Anakin: I know.

Ashoka: well then what were you thinking you look like a hobo that got ran over by a lawn mower. Padme is gonna kill you. Literary. I advise you to
shave it off now.

Anakin: No.

Later that day in Padme's apartment.

No words were spoken except for the scream of Padme and the sound of her fainting. There was also the sound of a lawn mower but I don't think that's important.

I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry. Perhaps do both?

like Fistofan said, it would be a great way of subtly showing the passage of time, or the aftereffects of a long campaign.

 

Please everyone knows that campaigns take only a couple days. Just look at the times in season 3 Anakin dropped Ahsoka off to rush to a battle somewhere only to show up a few days later.

It would be nice to see longer campaigns to add realism to the war.

 

We've seen plenty of that.

"The shields should be down in 3 months!"
"But we've been here a month already..."
"Yes sir. We're right on schedule."


And besides, making every campaign several months long would make the 3 year timeline close to impossible to justify.

 

Oh come on, Anakin with the porno stache is full of win.

 

Damn that picture is answer to the question- if they want to make Anakin to look more idiotic than he already does then yes- but he has no beard or moustache in ROTS so i guess 'no' is more reasonable answer......
Moustache Anakin would make a great couple with Yularen though

 

You know the only thing that's missing is Anakin wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

And as for the thread's question personally it wouldn't bother me if Anakin grew a little stubble or had a five o clock shadow for a while.

But growing a mustache or a full fledged beard like Obi-Wan or Count Dooku? No thanks.
