My girlfriend keeps insisting that when she first saw ANH when she was a kid, and had the oringinal first relase of ANH, she said that the Jabba scene was in there, but with the human actor playing Jabba.

Is this true? Was there any released version with human Jabba, besides special behind the scenes?

I always remebered it just skipping the scene all together...

She probably saw "From Star Wars To Jedi".

I think DarthLassic007's got it. It was never released with footage of Mulholland included within the film itself. It was most likely From Star Wars to Jedi or perhaps some other documentary.

True, and it wasn't a complete scene, it follows with a George Lucas V.O.

I miss that tape. Very informative back in the day.

The original Jabba looked as though he lived in the BedRock community. But after seeing where Annie lived, I guess thats Tattooine.

Jabba was never even planned as a human character. However, at the time, George's team was still trying to come up with a creature, so they simply had a guy do the movements for whatever creature they came up with. You can actually see this hairy fellow if you watch Lucas's commentary on the ANH Special Edition on VHS.
