I am quite fluent in what exist of the Huttese dialect, and would like to share this hobby with others. It may seem like I have too much time on my hands (I can read Aurabesh too), but this is a very rewarding hobby, and quite fun. If any of you would like to learn Huttese, I'll help you out. If you know how to speak it already, post your replies in Huttese, just for a bit of fun. If you need any help learning, just PM me and I'll give you a few lessons. for more info, visit The Complete Wermo's Guide to Huttese at http://www.geocities.com/wermosguidetohuttese/huttese101.html. Thank you, and Panwa Do Kyotopa! (enjoy your visit)

Just name a few phrases and I'll translate them for you. And I'm also working on a thing where I'm taking several of the most commonly used words in English (or Basic) and translating them into Huttese for everyday use.

Very interesting, all of this, but I have to ask how can you figure all of this out from only the single film, rotj? Do you have to guess some of the wordsbased on the logistics?

Rotj? There are several dozens more sources than that. There Ben Burtt's (the sound designer) books, theres episode 4, theres episode 1, theres video games like bounty hunter with huttese in them.

and a little bit of it is based on common sense. Say (and this is not valid) that you don't know what potato means, but you know that potato salad is "fikmunki kena",....then potato is gonna be "fikimunki", obviously, kena being "salad".
