Well, I think it's difficult. I mean, there wasn't much in the way of marketing for AotC or the Special Editions. I think you'd have to be a fan to make a dent.

Then, to be honest, I think HK really did get into SW. I mean, a local chain store sold out of the special SW t-shirts they made. I see people wearing them all the time.

 

Could the shop be Bossini?

My sis did bought for me a few TPM T-Shirts back in 1999 from Hong Kong (her husband was posted there then) but they never arrived in Singapore; not like now. We got 17 different designs, ranging for from Kids to ladies to Men to buy! Ouch!

it's only 15 bucks when SW T-shirt came out in hk.

 

It's cheap cause it's "locally" made, very mass produced and of thinner fabrics. Compare the Bossini and BATA ('99) ones to US SW T-Shirts I have, it's a lot thinner and smaller sized; but since it's Black most of the time, who cares.

The AOTC ones here are SGD10 each, which comes to about US$5.50. Ya, before there's this guy selling 'em on eBay for US$15-20 each so he's ripping the buyers off.

I don't really think ppl in HK like SW that much, not many asians tend to get OBSESSED.
