I hate Scooby Doo

I don't know why. It seems like something I should love (even though I am past the target age demographic for Scooby Doo viewership), but I have always hated Scooby Doo. It bored me. Am I not human?


I do love that episode of South Park with Korn that parodied Scooby Doo though.

 

Would you have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for those meddling kids?

I can understand if your judgement is clouded by the presence of Scrappy Doo, or the even more obnoxious celebrity guest episodes of Scooby Doo, however if you actually hate the classic Scooby Doo episodes, then you really need to re-evaluate your life because you have strayed from the path of sanity.

 

Pre-Scrappy Scooby Doo is brilliant childhood fun. Scrappy was so abominable they should rename jumping the shark "Jumping the Scrappy"

I hate it too be cause it's both predictable (THE PERSON THAT HIRES THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE IS ALWAYS THE BAD GUY) and implausible (scaling a building with suction cups? THE BUSTED THAT ON MYTHBUSTERS!) Also the geographical errors are inexcusable. A skate park on Alcatraz? Really?

 

Running from ghosts and then setting a trap for them is not detective work. kthnx.

 

For as long as I can remember, I've always hated ****ing Scooby Doo. It's the lamest cartoon ever.

and I heart epic because inspector gadget was pretty much just as bad.

 

The first two or three seasons were good. I used to love the show.

 

OMG I hate Scooby Doo too. I have never liked any of the shows of it.

 

I'm amazed by the bevy of haters for the classic cartoon.

I never cared for scrappy but I liked all the other scooby episodes

 

Darn kids today with their anime and their robots wouldn't know a good cartoon if it bit them on the butt.

How can anyone say that a plotline that involves a frozen caveman falling off the deck of a freighter, coming to life, and terrorizing a seaworld-esque amusement park is preictable or unbelievable? Nonsense I say!

 

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo is my favorite incarnation of Scooby-Doo, because it was more than just a "let's take established characters and make them kiddies" cartoon that was the trend of the '80s, they actually poked fun and made light of the whole Scooby-Doo formula, with stuff like Freddy always thinking a kid named Red Herring was the ghost/monster of the episode, and getting music ready for the big end chase.

Plus, it added to the Scooby canon, like the name of their hometown (Coolsville), which was reflected in the live-action movies.

If you don't like Scooby-Doo proper, at least give this show a try.

 

Actually I liked a Pup named Scooby Doo as well.

I hate everything Scooby Doo. TV shows or movies that parody it also suck.

 

Watching this show makes me uber hungry, and thus, fat.

I remember enjoying A Pup Named Scooby Doo (I don't remember anything specific about it though), but original Scooby Doo? Hellz NO!


Maybe I'd enjoy it more now, as a spastic nerdy teenager?

 

Yeah I've never really liked SD either. I didn't hate it, I just thought it was boring (though it does a good job of teaching children to be skeptical). So yeah.
