I Hate the Gargoyles in the Hunchback of Notre Dame

I rewatched it because I've been rewatching a lot of my old Disney VHS tapes recently, and if it weren't for the gargoyles I think it would have been a mature film that would have been remembered as more than a Disney comedy, but while still being fantastic for children. I didn't even like the gargoyle's humor when I was a child. , they ruined the movie for me.

The fact that, in the Di$ney version, the Hunchbach lives (defeating the entire point of the story) is what ruins it for me.

 

Yeah, I could respect the movie as simply Disney butchering another story but doing it in an entertaining manner so that if I could forget the source material I could enjoy the movie. Aside from the gargoyles.

But yeah, the original story > Disney version without a doubt. The Disney version also left out the Esmeralda's mother. Was her name Esmeralda in the original? I forget now.

Jason Alexander wasn't so bad, and I liked the song.
