I got Attack of the Clones DVD today, 2 days early! :)

I went to JB Hi-Fi in Chadstone, Victoria - and they have it out, two days earlier than the official release!

Go and check JB Hi-Fi everyone!

The one thing that I was suprised about the DVD, is that is is rated M.

I think it is the standard of the American PG-13.

In Australia, we have the ratings:

    G, PG, M, MA, R, X.

    G - General Exhibition
    PG - Parental Guidance Recomended
M 15+ - Recommended for those over 15 years (But a kid can still buy it)
MA 15+ - Suitable only for those over 15 years. (Younger must be with an adult)
    R 18+ - Restricted to 18 years and over.
    X - Speaks for itself really..... ;)

    lol

    we have over here
    • U - Universal everyone can watch ie Disney Movies

    • PG - Parental Guidance needed

    • 12 - well 12 to watch it

    • 12A - this is a new one basically states anyone under 12 needs to be with an adult to watch this

    • 15 - Have to be 15 to watch the movie

    • 18 - Again have to be over 18 to watch

    Pretty simple huh? ;)

I like the Aussie ratings system because it puts no restrictions on anyone unless they're under 15. And there aren't too many movies that get an MA or R classification anyway.

Best example of Aussie greatness: Gladiator you had to be 17 to see in the US, here, anyone could go. I was thirteen at the time, and I didn't need to take my mummy along. :p

Our one is quite strong we had incidents over here I mean the film childs play was banned as was childs play 3 because of 2 kids killing a todler :(

But I think they are starting to get a bit lighter on restrictions, doesn't bother me so much I've been watching 18 movies since I was about 8 :p

    We are getting off subject...

Has anyone else managed to get Attack of the Clones early?

I was going to get the special edition from the Coles Myer stores, with the slip case, however, I couldn't resist waiting another few days! :)

It's out everywhere, Gath. Video stores have it out for rent and sell-thru. Stores have it out for sale. You should know in retail that as soon as something big like this comes in, it goes straight on the shelf to maximise sales.

    True.

However, I seriously wonder if anyone will get into trouble from Lucasfilm. Normally they have tight embargo's on things such as this.
