I have been reading chatter here and there about whether or not Leia could possibly make some sort of eventual appearance in the Rebels TV series at some point. ...And, whether Carrie Fisher would do the voice work for the character. If Leia makes a Rebels appearance, I hope that Carrie Fisher does NOT voice a 15 or 16 year-old Princess Leia. If that character is ever on the show, you would need someone with a youthful tone to her voice. There are plenty of younger voice actors who could approximate classic Leia's voice from the 1970's. Unfortunately, Carrie's abuse of her body with various substances over the last few decades have left her voice not only gravelly & deep, but she also has a weird way of pronunciating things now - almost like her jaw is wired shut and she can't open her mouth all the way to fully articulate things. Please, No. I Love Carrie and welcome her return to continue to play an older Leia in the movies. But, her 90-year old chain smoker's voice woud be ridiculous to hear while looking at a character who is a teenager. What say you?

No offense to the original Princess Leia...but she could not pull off her OT voice for the character...or even a younger, 15 year old Leia.

But they do need to get someone who can do a reasonable impression.
