I just did a drive by heckling of Congressman William 'Dollar Bill' Jefferson.

So... I'm driving down the Westbank Expressway in the New Orleans area with my wife in the passenger seat as I was bringing her to work this morning (because her car is being serviced)... and who do I see standing right there on the opposite corner waving at people with his campaign supporters holding sings?

William Jefferson, who is in a runoff with Karen Carter for a local Congressional seat.

I said: "I'm gonna do it."

My wife replies: "Don't you dare do it!"

I said "I'm gonna do it."

My wife replies: "Don't you DARE do it!"

I said: "But I've GOTTA DO IT!"

So... I proceeded to roll down the window and shout at the top of my lungs (he was three lanes over on the corner) as the light turned green and we passed directly where he was waving:

"GOT YOUR HAND IN THE FREEZER, YOU CROOKED BASTARD?!?!?!"

Congressman Jefferson - who was caught with almost 100,000 dollars in bribe money in his freezer among other indescretions - proceeds to stop waving and looks directly at me with this look of sheer anger.

We then were driving off, and I was laughing my ass off. I said: "That crooked bastard deserved it."

My wife then proceeds to tell me after we drove off: "That was great!"

I said: "I told ya so."

I custom made a bloody demonic baby doll and have held it out the window of my car while honking the horn at anti-abortion activists.

Usually, they just ignore you.

Not that I'd know personally, of course...

 

You forgot to mention that you were also driving the same Ice Cream Truck that the Abortion Clinic Bomber drove.

It's bad enough with Nagin and his rebuilding of "Chocolate City." WT*?? Of course we could go on for hours about the whole Katrina fiasco.

 

Hopefully by December he'll be out of there.


For those of you who haven't been following, although the Democrats still control the House, Jefferson (hopefully) may be out of a job come december. The elections earlier this month forced him into a runoff against Democrat Karen Carter, whom has the actual endorsement of the Democratic party.

New Orleans voters will return to the polls on December 9.

Yes, but what about "Chocolate City?" Is William 'Dollar Bill' Jefferson going to throw his $100,000 into the city fund? Or just spend it at Harrahs?

 

Hopefully he'll take the governorship away from Blanco....provided that the average voter wake up and see what a joke the Blankstare administration has been.

 

It's all the racist upstate voters. They only voted Blanco in because while she wasn't a man, at least she was white.

Sadly enough though, these idiots around here will probably still re-elect the crooked bastard. I've heard supporters say they like him because he's got seniority in Congress - I tell those dumb asses that the Democratic Leadership threw him off his position on the Ways and Means Committee and has shunned him of all his influence. If these fools re-elect 'Dollar Bill' Jefferson, then do they really think Congress is going to trust them at all with the money to rebuild?

The stupidity in some around here just boggles the mind... I mean, they re-elected Nagin for crying out loud.

By the way, 'Bobby' Jindal will probably be running against Gov. Blanco (or Blank-O as we like to call her here). I voted for him as he represents my Congressional District. He's very popular here, among Democrats, Republicans, and Independents.

I'm looking for moderation from Congress, perhaps a slight and temporary lean to the left due to the hard right turn that the previous few years saw, but for the most part, try and find a bit of balance and perhaps *gasp* some bipartisanship?

But for cryin' out loud, putting an alleged bribe taker(his case is still pending, right?) in charge of Ways and Means is NOT how one goes about 'getting rid of corruption.'
