Now, I figured I should post something like this after reading Sau-Den's bit about 2001.

Alright, first off let me say something before all you pro-Tarantinos light my ass on fire.

I've never liked the guy's films from the get-go. I always thought of him as a weird guy and as it turns out, I was correct.

Pulp Fiction. Saw it once a few years ago and it was interesting. I thought how he told the story backwards was very unique.

Reservoir Dogs. Bought it because a lot of people told me it was good.

My my my my my my. I wish I could get back that 90 minutes of my life and the $10-15 I spent on the DVD. One of the worst movies I have ever seen.

Kill Bill. I saw the second one before I saw the first one and dammit I was pissed. I had been hyped all week by my friend about how great Vol. I had been and how great Vol. II was going to be.

Vol. II sucked. There were three actions scenes in the whole film. Maybe four, but thats purely opinion based. I remember sitting in the theater and at some points in the movie the whole audience is laughing and I'm left wondering what was funny or thinking maybe I didn't get something because it was a reference to something that had happened in Vol. 1, but no!! After I watched Vol. 1 and thought back to what the people were laughing at in Vol. II it doesn't make any sense. These people are as messed up in the head as QT! He has a little cult of followers! (I realize that GL does too but there is major difference between the two)

Vol. 1 was okay. I'm glad I bought it on DVD. I actually like it.

I know he's made a few more movies, but I'm not even going to waste my life watching them. I am hereby swearing never to watch another QT film again.

Some praise him as a genious and a great filmmaker. I don't see where they get those ideas. I think he is a severely disturbed person with some issues. None of his movies have a moral or a deeper meaning. If they do I didn't find them. I don't get his humor in his films. He is too morbid for me. I can take violence in a movie, but a good filmmaker breaks up the movie with some 'lighter in mood' or 'happy' scenes. (Saving Private Ryan comes to mind as a film with severe violence but still keeping some happy scenes in it). None of his movies have any 'happy' or 'friendly' scenes and maybe that is why I don't like him, but damn if he just doesn't piss me off.

And on top of that he looks funny and has a weird voice.

At least you admit that you don't get it, and therefore you opinion can be quickly dismissed and ignored! Hooray!

I agree with you, people have Different tastes in movies, just like music.

I don't care if you are my friend, I will still disagree with you Quentin Tarantino's movies (like Kill Bill) is that good, to me.

Something about the movie's styles, I do NOT like either! :p

I liked Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs but Jackie Brown was just the same-old same-old. And I have little interest in seeing Kill Bill as I've heard it's basically the same stuff again, but now in two movies instead of one. I think I'll wait until he comes up with something new before I see another Tarantino film.

The man is only genius, for putting together Gory scenes one after another, very silly way. Then, to me, that's not very genious.

No, thanks. I like X-files or Final Destination a lot better! Or, crouching Tiger, hidden dragon, if we are talking about Martial art movies.

I DO respect Samuel Jackson though, this guy is TEH Cool MF!

I am also not big fan of Uma Thurman and Lucy Liu. Uma has some acting skills though, I give her that!

Lucy Liu, on the other hand, Argh!!!

I like the fact that he's not scared to be politically incorrect in the way that he uses racial stereotypes, etc.

    No, I don't.

In general, its voilent and its about killers (like all his films) but besides that, its nothing like his other films in any way, shape, or form.

Other than the fact that it does indeed contain violence and the dialouge being genius, it is not really similar at all to his other films. Your friends are mistaken!

Reservoir Dogs was very raw and different from films I'd seen in a long while when I first saw it. I was very impressed.

Reservoir Dogs was a great movie. As was Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill movies. As for Jackie Brown, it was a good film but a little slow at times. Also True Romance was a pretty good film too, although Tarrantino was just the screenwriter.

I think people who like QT movies are looking for more than just *bang bang* your dead look at my big gun. [face_plain]

(I realize that GL does too but there is major difference between the two)

Is there? Some of us fake play around and act like we're Jedi Knights in a fake Jedi Order who swing fake Jedi lightsabers. Meanwhile, people who laugh at a movie are automatically cult followers?

Hell, some people in England announce Jedi as their damn religion, and people say that Tarantino has a cult.

Perhaps you'd like some honey and sugar with your cream cheese?
