I think my friend is becoming a gangster!

Im troubled. I had a friend for over 8 yrs, he is 27yrd old. we used to go out and have fun at parties. he was a nice guy, he liked metal rock, and worked like a regular guy. usually, he would be outgoing and hangout anywhere. we would drink and have fun with girls.

its been recent that he met a girl in TJ and he moved in with her. since then things changed drastically.

we dont see eachother but once a week, and when I call she gets upset. she screams into the phone saying things like "Whos this!", I tried to talk to her, but she acts weird, she seems to think im a bad guy. my best friend moved into this area full of gang members and since then he started listening to rap music. before, he never owned a rap album, now he has over 200.

he also used to call me everyday. now I dont even hear from him. but rarely. this last thursday we met at this club again to hang out like old friends. he always tells the girl that he is going to his parents house. he never tells her he is going out with me to drink as friends.

this is when he started saying crazy things. he says he has been dealing and making thousands of dollars, that it works like a piramid. I noticed he had hundred dollar bills and didnt mind spending. he has bought large TV's, tons of cool stuff. etc. he also said he bought a desert eagle gun and other weapons. Im afraid he might become a criminal and be sent to jail. but he doesnt listen to me, I keep telling him not to be doing that type of gang rap. but he just doesnt listen.

much of this comes from his father in-law influence and. ive met him and he's a bald, gold chain wearing punk. talks all smack and like a gangster. my friend smokes pot now and does all types of drugs. something he never did before. he also got a DUI. what went wrong?

I invited him to go with me and my friend to rosarito mexico for the new years eve party, but he said he couldnt make it.

I dont know what to do and im wondering if any of you had friends like that and what did you do. personally, I gave up on him and will only see him on ocassion. I've lost a good friend.

 

Go kill him. If that doesnt get his attention, maybe stealing his toliet, or reading material will.

thanks everyone! I called him again today and he wasnt there. probably dealing on the street corners. yeah he's white. basically, I know this girl is evil, she was a gangmember too but she quit that, but all her family seems to be involved with the thug/gang life. Im just afraid that one day he might go nuts and use his guns on them or on me.
