i was going to post a thread about green tea

A few minutes ago I got back to my dorm at eh 5:00am and I wanted to have some green tea so I made some, so this made me think I ought to post a thread about green tea here on the JC, because I will tell you the facts that before recent times I did not so much drink this green tea beverage, in fact I only had green tea in iced form at like lunch. Then this semester I have made real green tea that is made like regular tea. It is good. It has caffeiene YET is healthy, and extends human lifespan by several years, so scholars say. At school I get a brand of green tea made by Tazo, which market themselves very obviously as kind of a hipsterish new agey gimmick, but whatever I like hipsterish things, so what. In my room I have some sort of generic brand of green tea, but green tea is green tea.

Anyways after I wrote this thread it was a lot of text and rambled on and I was kind of like, I said "Do you really want to post the thread?" I said no. I didn't. It was not interesting at all. So then I decided to make this one instead.

In this thread you can discuss how green tea is good, or how you hate green tea, or about a time you did not post a thread, it is both topics, in a sense you could say it is a thread in which there can be two different things discussed.

But anyways I think green tea is very good.

 

I actually like Matcha a whole bunch. I got all the tools and learned how to make it. Cost enough to get the tea, but it is good. I like the taste.

At first I didn't like green tea much, but it grew on me. Great to drink during the winter.

 

Explain this Matcha talk? What is some sort of good green tea?

 

I like peppermint with honey, or chamomile + english breakfast with sugar and milk. Even though tea has caffiene, it isn't enough to keep me up...I usually drink it before bed because it helps me get to sleep. If I wanna stay up I need like 4 energy drinks or a Mocha-chocha-latte-crappuccino.

 

Oh I would like to add that yesterday in the lounge I witnessed a girl put cinnamon into tea. Cinnamon. This was confusing to me. But I realized I am not the expert on tea, I am new to tea. Is cinnamon a true ingredient to add to tea, or is this student a lunatic?

 

I am not the expert on Matcha, sorry! But all I know is that it is usualy used during Japanese tea ceremonies and can be expensive due to the high quality of the leaves used to make it. As for a good green tea, I ususal go to the local World Market to get mine. They range from about 5.00 dollers to at least 15.00 due to the quality of the tea (as the lady told me). The only thing I can read on the bag is the kanji for tea, so I have NO clue what the name. But I did by the 5.00 bag and a 8.00 bag and there IS a difference in taste. The more expensive one seemed stronger to me...

I suspected it always.

 

Adding cinnimon to tea? I think i did that once and I hated it, but maybe it goes better with different kinds of teas. I imagine it would go well with those fruity flavored teas.

 

Black tea is just as good.

There are various good green teas. Japanese Sencha is very good quality green tea. I personally love Oolongs (Gao Shan is particularly excellent), even though they're not exactly green (they're half-fermented), but they have very good aroma and you can infuse them multiple times.

I drink green tea pretty much every day. Right now it is just about the only thing that soothes the scratchy throat I have going on. Yes, I do say, green tea is great!

 

Arizona tea usually has crap, but I do like their green tea with ginseng and honey.

 

I love tea I'm addicted to it.

I usually drink green or black tea in the morning and mint or a spicy mixture at night. I've even tried white tea, which is higher in anti-oxidents, and therefore even better than green tea. It's got a different taste, but with a touch of honey, I like it.

 

I love chai tea and it would taste very very good with cinnamon in it.

I don't like chai made with green tea though. I just like it with black tea. Is black tea healthy? I hope so because I drink it a lot.

Tea is my favorite! I'm a huge fan of chai (especially iced lattes), ginger peach, green tea with mango or mint and honey, chamomile, and constant comment (black tea flavored with orange and spices). I've become addicted to drinking tea with milk and sugar... I can't believe there was a time when I drank it any other way...

 

Tea with creamer. Especially chai. It is the greatest.

 

I'm probably in the minority here, but I hate tea. It just never has appealed to me. But there have been plenty of times when I thought of making threads and decided not to

 

Regular tea = good.
Green tea = good.
White tea = good.

 

It would be funny if there was blue tea.

But, for now, I will gladly settle for green tea, or Earl Grey. Really nice.

 

red tea is good as well,but i manly drink black teas occasinally green tea.

 

I love green tea. I drink it everyday.
