    Chapter 1

An explosion rocked the medical facility at the Imperial Outpost on Bastion. The station was under attack by Rebel Forces. As alert Klaxons blared a woman lay in her bed, drowned deep in a coma. The woman?s identity was unknown, she was found by Imperial Surveyors on a mission to an unknown, swampy planet. They happened to find her incapacitated and badly injured in wreckage of what appeared to be a diplomatic ship of some sort. Her injuries were mostly repaired, but she was still in a comatose state. She was taken back to the Imperial outpost by the surveyor team, nineteen years ago from today. She was placed on a hover-gurney and evacuated with the rest of the staff running from the planet and the onslaught of Rebel Forces. Another explosion rocked the facility and the woman?s body was thrown into a wall. She was put up on the gurney again, and into an escape pod with a Human doctor and a Twi?lek nurse. The escape pod launched into space, and escaped the Rebel blockade. All of a sudden, the woman began to open her eyes, slowly. She opened them to see that she was in a small confined, and semi-luminated space along with two other people. The formerly-comatose found that she couldn?t move her legs and began to scream. The two medical staff members noticed immediately.
?Ma?am, would you please calm down, you are going to be all right?, the Twi?Lek nurse said, ?You?ve been in a coma for over twenty years.?
There was no response from the woman other than screaming. To her, the nurse?s words were just gibberish.
?Please ma?am, calm down?, the nurse pleaded again, but it was of no use.
Amidst the screaming from the crazed woman, the doctor ordered the nurse to sedate her, and the nurse obeyed. The woman went back into a state of sleep.

A bright light appeared in the woman?s eyes as she awoke in the medical bay of an Imperial Star Destroyer. The woman still couldn?t move her legs but she could sit up. Her legs were paralysed. The doctors immediately came to her and tried to communicate with her.
?Ma?am, you?re in the medical bay of the Vindicator. You were in a coma for twenty years?, one of the doctors said.
The woman understood what he was saying, but she could not find a way to respond, all that came from her mouth was incoherent gibberish and mumbling.
?What language is that?? one of the doctor?s assistants asked.
?The language of gibberish, she?s lost her ability to speak, thought temporarily. Also, she has muscular atrophy, due to her not using her legs for the last twenty years. All of these conditions are temporary, and she will be back to her former self in the span of several months?, the doctor replied.
The woman sat still on her bed, with a dumbfounded look on her face. All of a sudden, a violent flashback of a young man with and extended arm reaching out for her made it hard for her to breathe as she gripped her throat. She started screaming again, but calmed down once the memory was gone replaced by one of a grand marble hall. A memory that made her feel more relaxed.

Through months and months of re-training, the woman eventually learned to communicate with her medical staff, and to walk again. Her memory however was however very sporadic. She explained to the doctors what she saw, and it appeared that for a woman of her age, she had less than 1% of her memory intact, the rest was all jumbled up and could or could not come back. Over the next few months, the woman joined the medical staff, and began to train as a medical assistant to the Chief Medical Officer aboard the Vindicator. On her first day on the job,

I am very interested to see where you take this. I wonder if she will ever get her identity back. Oh,and you may have already mentioned this, but how did she lose her identity. Or is it something we are going to find out as the story progresses?

    :)

Its a simple matter of a twenty year coma, not to mention the numerous hits to the head she had suffered like at the station and probably after the crash too.

    Chapter Two

Of all the places to put a rebel base, why would anyone choose this horrible freezing wasteland. Dagny didn?t even know the name of this world. She spend the last few days in some assigned quarters, waiting for some sort of transport back to the core worlds and to Imperial space. After a few hours laying there thinking about the face of that young man who seemed to be choking her somehow. The memory did not make her have a fit like it used to but it certainly did not make her comfortable. Dagny decided that it was time to leave her quarters and go to get something to eat. Since it was a military base, she would only probably find rations. She got up and got dressed in a warm cotton jumpsuit. She walked through several corridors and she could hear the daily hustle and bustle of the military base. She entered the cafeteria which was empty with the exception of a woman consumed with paperwork. Dagny grabbed a cup of coffee and sat down beside the woman.
?Hello. You don?t mind if I sit here do you?? Dagny asked.
    ?Not at all miss ?.?
    ?Dagny.?
    ?Dagny what??
?Dagny nothing. Just Dagny. Hell, its not even my real name.?
    ?What is your real name.?
    ?I don?t have a clue.?
?That?s interesting. How could you not know your own name??
?Well the Imperial doctors told me I was in a coma for years and suffered from amnesia?, Dagny said in a casual tone as if implying that there was nothing wrong with what happened to her, ?but as long as we?re on names what is yours??
    ?Oh, sorry I?m Leia Organa.?
?Organa, somehow that name sounds familiar.?
    ?It is a common name.?
?No, its not just the familiarity. You?re one of the leaders of the Rebellion aren?t you??
    ?That I am.?
?You realize the price on your head is a good twenty-five million credits.?
?Why do you say that? Are you going to turn me in??
?Nope, just wanted to inform you. After all twenty five million is a lot of money. It?s enough that I could have quit my job and bought myself a secluded home on Naboo or some beautiful planet like that.?
    ?What do you do??
?Civillian nurse aboard the Vindicator. Since I wasn?t part of the military, I was told that I would be let go back to Imperial space but I?m still waiting.?
?Why would you want to go back there??
?I feel an obligation to the Empire, for keeping me alive for twenty years when they could have easily saved the resources and pulled the plug. Besides, the empire is all I know. And somehow I feel the secret to unlocking my past lies somewhere within the Empire.?
?There?s a smuggler ship running supplies to Coronet, and I wouldn?t mind providing you with a few credits to get a ticket back to the Empire.?
?Well, you?re a lot friendlier than the imperial news service lead us to believe.?
    ?Why wouldn?t I be??
?I guess you have a point. I?ll leave you to the rest of your work.?
?All right, have a good voyage, you leave tomorrow morning, you should get some sleep.?
Dagny left the table, but Leia?s presence still retained some form of familiarity. She went to her quarters and she plopped up on her bed. She instantly fell asleep and woke up the next morning ready to resume her flight.
    ***
Delayed, delayed, and delayed. As Dagny stood in Coronet?s spaceport terminal two-c delta. Apparently a person of great importance landed, and for security reasons all flights were temporarily delayed.
?I heard its Darth Vader?, said the person sitting beside her waiting for his trip to Coruscant.
    ?What about him?? Dagny asked.
?He?s the one responsible for the delays, I don?t see why his security would really matter, he could kill everyone in this spaceport with a single thought.?
Killing with thought. Somehow those words again provoked that awful memory of the young man, and the horrible pain in her neck and suffocation.
?That?s probably just a rumor. Besides, the flights are clearing up; it says we can board now.?
?Good, I can?t wait to leave this planet.?

Darth Vader walked along the landing ramp and some sudden shocking presence in the force.

This is an interesting take on the story DT. I wonder what will happen. Will her memories return? Will mother and family be reunited? I look forward to the next update. Keep it up.

I decided to pick up the pace a lot, and actually get the whole identity thing started.
    ------------------------------------------------------
    Chapter 3

The Dark Lord of the Sith sat in his chambers, thinking about the person who seemed so familiar, yet somehow so different. He didn?t get a chance to take a look at her face but he saw the flight she was leaving on. An imperial officer came into the room holding a datapad.
?My Lord, I have the passenger manifest of flight 92-41b?, the officer said, handing the datapad to Darth Vader.
    ?You are dismissed lieutenant.?
    ?Yes, my lord.?
The officer left the room as Vader glanced at the passenger manifest. None of those names were familiar to him so he called up on their Imperial ID records. The images of each passenger appeared on the datapad. Then one image struck him and caused him to drop the datapad. The name just said Dagny, no surname, no homeworld, and an assignment aboard the captured ship the Vindicator. He ran to the nearest computer terminal, inserted the datapad and uploaded the image. Darth Vader ran a simulation to determine the appearance of the subject twenty years earlier, and called up an Old Republic record to which only he and the emperor had access. A perfect match, although Vader knew it all along. This person was his long lost wife, the presumed dead Padmé Amidala Skywalker. He punched up the communicator.
?Prepare my TIE for departure?, he ordered the maintenance officer.
He replied without question, ?Yes sir.?
Vader stormed out of his room and into the turbolift.

Leia sat in her office on the Tantive V on her way to a mission to Corellia, contemplating the Imperial woman, who chose to return to the Empire. An oddity, but somehow very familiar presence was what she felt when she was around Dagny. It was also a familiar feeling, like the one she felt when she was a toddler with her ?Mother, that woman is my mother!? Leia said.
?Mother?? said Luke, sitting on a loveseat in her office.
?Yes, mother. I don?t have any factual proof, but there?s this gut feeling, I am positively sure that the woman is my biological mother.?
?That?s interesting, considering you?ve met her for about ten minutes in a cantina.?
?Luke I don?t know what it is, just instinct. I can?t explain it but that woman IS my mother.?
?Calm down Leia. We?re on our way to Corellia, you?ve sent her there and we can find out what happened to her once we land in Coronet.?
    ?You?re right Luke.?
?So, what do you remember about your mother??
    ***
Dagny sat in the station?s cantina on Tralus, she was waiting for her connecting space flight to Coruscant, where she would visit the ministry of labour to get a new post. She was looking at a particular painting of a swampy area. Then all of a sudden, a flash and in her head she saw herself laying down on a rock, surrounded by a tall dark skinned man, a bearded man and a short green gremlin of sorts. All of them were wearing robes then a sudden pain struck her. She had seen it happen only once on the Vindicator. It was childbirth. She had children. And all of a sudden the memory faded, and she could only remember one word. Dagobah.
She got up and started asking around to see if there were any private pilots available to take her to this world. She started asking around, she was desperate?desperate to find this world which might hold the secrets to her life.
?So, Chewy, feels like we have a giant load lifted doesn?t it??
?Rrrwarrgh!? replied a big hairy Wookie sitting at a table.
Dagny ran towards the pair, perhaps they would know where to find a pilot. Han noticed the woman running his way.
    ?Ma?am, may I help you??
?Yes, I was wondering if you know any private pilots. I need to get somewhere quickly.?
?Well, you?ve found someone. Where do you need to go??
?A world called Dagobah. Are you familiar with it??
    ?Dagobah? That?s pretty far off.
    ?Please, it?s urgent!?
    ?Rrwarggh!?
?No chewy, we have to get back to the Alliance quickly.?
    ?Rrwarr, Raaaaaaaaaaa
