If Dooku remained a Jedi, would he have survived Order 66?

Okay, i'm really curious. If Dooku remained a Jedi, or if he went back to the light side and regained his place in the order, do you think he would have survived Order 66?

I personally think he would. I can actually imagine him fighting alongside Yoda as he, Yoda, and Obi-Wan fight their way back into the Jedi Temple.

Dooku's a tough nut to crack. I don't think those Clonies are gonna take him down that easily !

dooku isnt any stronger than ki adi mundi and the clones kill him.

 

Yeah it looks like which ever path Dooku chooses it will mean his certain doom! In anycase even if he did somehow survive order 66 he would die before the old trilogy cause he is not there

 

You have to think, would there have been an order 66. I mean, if you reaserch it, Dooku came to Jango Fett about creating a clone army. So if you think about it, Dooku would have never approached Jango, there may have never been a clone army, and their wouldn't be an order 66, because there would be nobody to carry it out.

 

I think Jedi Council were even better then Dooku. Except short-termers as Shaak Ti and Coleman Trebor in II ep. and Kit,Agen and Stass in III.

 

Dooku was quite clever, and would have put up a good fight, he probally though would have bitten it in the Temple to Vader.

 

I'd say that would all depend on where he was. Yoda survived because saw it coming and had help from the Wookies, and Obi-Wan just got pretty lucky. Regardless of what would have happened, he certainly would have put up a hell of a fight.

I think he would have survived. He was one of the most powerful Jedi in the Order at the time behind Mace (who only dies because Palpatine feigned weakness and was betrayed by Anakin) and Yoda.
It also greatly depends on where he was at the time. If he was with Yoda on Kashyyyk then he would have survived. If he went to confront Palaptine, he may well have survived that as well. If he was off-world, with an army of Clones hunting him down, he would have snuffed it.

I also agree with MUSTAFAR_66 that if dooku was with yoda in kashyyk, he would have definitely survived. Yoda + Dooku = 2 Jedis you DON'T wanna mess with. Also, those two were pretty close, so i can really imagine them going on missions together.

What would have really been cool is if Dooku went back to the Jedi order AFTER he became a Dark Lord. You can just imagine him frying those clones with his force lightning.

OMG, that is sooo true...decades of Jedi training and they get gunned down by clonies who can't even shoot straight! jeez. i wonder where all their jedi training went @.@! (they seriously could've force pushed them or something, ya know)

 

What I wonder if why they don't instantly try to shoot Anakin. Sure, he's NAMED a Sith moments earlier, but does something Palpatine says override all the programming that's been in place for years? Wouldn't they view him as a Jedi?

I think the other jedi died a little too easily, but they had no idea what the clones were up to. They may not have been able to read their thoughts because of the way they were made. The jedi thought they were with allies and had no idea anyone would do anything to them. Yoda only had to kill 2 clones but the others were in ships or with many troops. I think Dooku could've made it, but it depends on how many troopers he was with and the position he was in.

It would depend on where he was at the time. Obi-Wan survived more through luck than skill. Dooku would stand a better chance than most if he had to fight off the clones, he was clearly a superior swordsman than Kenobi.

 

It really doesn't matter how god you are. You could have been the best Segeant in all of Vietnam, and a stray bullet could still hit you in the head at any moment. It's all under circumstance. Would he have survived? Possibly, possibly not.

Dooku is the man, but come on it all depends. If he was shot in the back he would die. If he was surrounded by Clones, and CIS robots he would probably die. If he was one of the last jedi to be assasinated he would probably have already sensed something was wrong like Yoda did and survive.

Dooku wouldn't survive. He's old and fading. He'd probably die of a heart attack to learn that his clone soldiers have turned and are going to kill him.

 

In judging with his duel with Yoda on Geonosis, he's just as resourceful as Yoda. I can actually see Dooku surviving...

 

im too busy to be using proper caps and grammer so dont be mad. i think dooku would have died either way, so hes pretty much a doomed guy, but i think overall that if dooku hadnt joined the sith then sidious would have never seen the power of anakain and order 66 would never have been made and the jedi would live in peace until a mass sith army marched into the gates of coruscant and killed every living thing. just my opinion though.

 

Dooku is too good.

He would have survived. So would Ki-Adi-Mundi and Plo Koon, though. GL made them die too easily and quickly.

 

If Ani wasted him on the ship he would of wasted him in the Temple
