Early on during Solo there is that scene when Han tells Qi'ra the Coaxium he got was worth 500-600 credits. Let's say they got through the checkpoint, how could Han have got a ship since they would have given it to that Imperial officer as a bribe. So, unless I'm wrong wouldn't they had no credits, even though they could at least get out of Corellia.
They would probably have stowed away on a cruiser and gotten low-wage jobs somewhere to get started. ...and/or stolen money with the skills they'd developed on Corellia. They could probably also have talked themselves into positions where they'd earn a lot of cash. Han could've convinced someone to let him race for them, for example.
Or both sign up for the Imperial Army? With living the street life, they were used to living moment to moment...trying to hold onto the coaxium wasn't going to help them get through the checkpoint. They knew that. Have to take the obstacles as they come.
Yeah it was clearly a let’s get to the spaceport and figure it out from there kinda deal. They weren’t exactly thinking this investment through like Jimmy Buffet.
If Han ran away with Qi'ra instead of her getting caught, I could see an Infinities comic issue or story arc relating to this.
Lol. This should’ve read “Warren Buffett.” Though maybe Jimmy was a good financial planner too? Margaritas get expensive.
