    Hey everyone,
If you are planning on going to see Spiderman either on Friday May 3rd (opening night), or Saturday May 4th, we need your help to put flyers for our line-party out on car windshields at both the Thoroughbred & Hollywood 27. This is of course the same weekend as the STAR WARS Celebration II in Indianapolis. Please contact me and I'll get them to you or you can meet me someonewhere before then to pick them up. Thanks for your help! :)

Here are the showtimes for Spider-Man. These are mandatory across all Carmike theaters. We don't know how many prints the 20 will be getting yet, but I would guess it would be 3 or 4.

    Print 1.....1:45, 4:15, 7:00, 9:30

    Print 2.....2:15, 4:45, 7:15, 9:45

    Print 3.....12:30, 3:00, 5:30, 8:00 (10:30 1st and 2nd Friday and Saturday)

    Print 4.....1:00, 3:30, 6:00, 8:30

I also believe we will be doing two week advance sales on Spider-Man.

I had considered posting a thread later for those of us not going to SWC2 to see if anyone wants to get together to go see Spiderman. I'm for it if anyone else is.

This LINK will hopefully take you to the Fan DANG! website where you can get tickets for Spiderman. My advice would be of course to stop by the box office for tickets as soon as they are available for Carmike rather than get them online. The only significant lines you are going to see for Spiderman are the ones going into the actual theater it is showing in. I doubt you will see anybody camped outside the theater. It's just not going to happen (well maybe in New York or California- maybe ;) ) While I'm sure just about every showing will sell out opening weekend, don't expect it to be the mega block buster hit that STAR WARS is and will always be. From what I'm hearing about Episode II (non-spoilerish stuff) it's going to be a snow-ball effect. As soon as the word gets out that STAR WARS has returned to it's former glory, the lines will be out the doors from the ticket box office all summer long(That is if they don't get their tickets at Fan DANG! ) :p

Man! I can't wait for 12:01 a.m. on May 16th! It's going to be AWESOME!

Tickets for Spider-Man go on sell at the Thoroughbred on Friday. They will be selling tickets for the first two print showtimes I listed above.

Yes we still need lots of help.

Allot of folks are probably thinking of lining up at the Regal Cinemas Hollywood 27 becausae that is where we had our line for Episode I. Most of the people who will see Star Wars will definately see Spider-Man. This theatre is our number one priority.

After that we need people distrubting flyers at the Thoroughbred 20 since that is where our line will be. If possible, it would be best to hand out flyers as people come out of the theatre.

If we can get a few people to show up on May 3rd and place flyers under the windshield wipers of parked cars we can get allot of folks at our line. Other theatres are important as well, but the Hollywood 27 is the one we have to take care of first.

Allot of us who have been volunteering thus far will be at Celebration II on May 3rd and won't be able to help on this, so we really need some new faces to help spread the word. I just got off the phone with Scott and he got another 500 flyers from Kinkos. I don't know how many of the original 500 have already been distributed but we should have plenty.

If you can it's also good to distribute flyers at your school or work place, or both. I stood in front of Wal-Mart yesterday dressed in my Jedi costume handing out flyres. If you have a costume and the guts to wear it in public you'll probably hand out twice as many flyers. A costumed person will draw people towards you out of fascination or curiosoty and you can spread the word easier.

If you let me know ahead of time, I can meet up with you sometime this weekend and hand out a bunch to anyone that can help with this. Putting flyers on cars, especially at Regal's Hollywood 27 will assure that our line-party event is as big and as grand as it can be and that we will not having any rival line-ups in Nashville.

The Spider-Man showtimes have changed slightly. Don't worry, if you've already bought tickets for a showtime not listed, then the original showtimes will stay.

    Print 1...1:15, 4:00, 7:00, 9:30 (12:00 Fri & Sat)
    Print 2...1:45, 4:30, 7:15, 9:45 (12:30 Fri & Sat)
    Print 3...12:00, 2:45, 5:30, 8:15 (10:45 Fri & Sat)
    Print 4...12:30, 3:15, 6:00, 8:45 (11:15 Fri & Sat)

Please remember to put flyers out on cars at whatever theater you end up seeing Spider-man at Friday or Saturday. If you are going to the Thoroughbred 20 in Cool Springs, let me know ASAP. Even though I'm leaving for Celebration Thursday, I can leave a box of flyers with my friend at the Pet shop Bone DuJour that is right next to the Thoroughbred in the little strip mall to the right of the building. However, they close at 7:00 I believe, so you must get there before then. Just let me know so I can leave the flyers with them. If you are going to a separate theater, you can very easily download the flyer file here, save it to disc and take it to Kinkos before you go. They are only about .05 cents a copy. if you run say about 250 thats about $10. Zerox copies there are the same price but lesser quality. OR, if you have access to a copy machine you can use that. Thanks to everybody that can help with this. :)

Could someone please let me know if they plan on going to the Hollywood 27? We need at least someone to go there for Spiderman to put flyers on cars opening night. This is really the only theater I can see that might give us a line-up conflict as that is where we all went to see Episode I at. Unfortunately the theater and area it is in has gone down hill in the last three years, which is one of the primary reasons we are having our line-party at the Thoroughbred.
