    actually it's very rare, but their are some hermaphrodites that can have sex with themselves and impregnate themselves as well, those are very very rare cases though, since the hermaphrodite has to have a working uterus, ovaries and testicles

    Then there is a chance that your offsrpring will show a recessive trait that you don't show.
