    Hello, all.

I'm planning on making a fanfilm (for some time now) and am in the production phase now. Now, before I make a fatal error, I figured I'd ask some people's opinion. What type of facial hair would be acceptable for an Imperial Officer. You don't seen too much facial hair (Admiral Ozzel's mustache). I was thinking anything beyond that may not be becoming of Imperial Officer's (i.e. goutee, beard, etc.)

    Any other perspectives?

    Thank you.
    Marty

It was the 70's there were guys with really long side-burns (chops) for goodness sakes.

im pretty sure you would be safe, even if the officer had a mustache. I think the image is just one of military. Clean shaven an dall that jazz. Hey they may work for the Empire but could imagine what vader would do to you if those boots were NOT a spit shine black. [face_laugh]

No one said humor had to be good or expensive.

Normal regs in the EU are short hair (like a crew cut-type dealy), minimal facial hair (no beard, moustache only. Moustachios discouraged)

As far as I can remember, didn't Baron Fel have a bit of goatee action going on; even prior to his defection?

Only as a superior officer in the Imperial Academy and in the 181st, which was originally the most backwater, poopstain flight group in the fleet.

    Before that, he was clean-shaven.

We had two officers in Conspiracy with facial hair. As far as I can remember nobody really made mention of that. That being said...I dont see why not.

Well, wasn't Crix Madine an Impie who converted to the rebellion? He had a beard.

As far as Crix Madine goes, it could likely be argued that he grew the facial hair after joining the rebellion...

that said, I don't think facial hair would be a problem, so long as it's neat, like a trim moustache, or even some sort of beard as long as it's close cropped....

no shaginess, hamhock sideburns, or anything like that though...

just 2 cents from someone who can't actually grow facial hair *grins*

I think the most important thing is that they have a British accent. That's one thing that always remains constant regardless of their grooming habits. :D

Did he? I'll have to watch that scene again. I thought he was as bald as your icon.
