I was looking for the force-choke that sounds like an earthquake. If you know what I mean. Along with that I'm looking for some choking sounds and some neck snapping sounds.

As you could guess I'm looking for sounds to create the effect of someone getting their neck snapped through a force choke.

DVD commentary is your bestest friend; Ben Burtt explains exactly how the effect for Force choke was done in the scene in ANH: take walnut shells and put them in a hollowed out grapefruit skin, then squeeze them together. Badabing.

The only force chocke/grip sound I have is this one. It's very short though.

    Thanks Robi-Wan.

I found some good earthquake sounds that will sound like a force-choke on findsounds.com. I'll I need now is some neck snapping sounds.

If you have a good mic you can do this: Put a Fisherman's Friend or any other drops/breath mint that resembles the Fisherman's Friend in your mouth. Put the mic right beside your cheek (the one on your face, of course) and chew the Fisherman's Friend/drops/breath mint once so it snaps on the middle (see why I mean the cheek on your face? A little hard to chew downstairs, if you know what I mean).
It will sound like bones snapping. And crushing if you sort of grind it a little too. But keep your mouth closed when chewing.

That's one way to do it. Or go out in the wood and break some twigs. But my first suggestion sounds better, in my opinion.

What also works is just generating some white noise in your sound program, and then bringing the pitch waaayyy down.

I seem to remember there being some good SFX for this in Jedi Outcast. You just have to extract the .pk3, etc, that is if you even have that.

I made this a while ago http://files.filefront.com/THEFORCEmp3/;9482569;/fileinfo.html. It's not an EXACT match, but it was close enough for me.

    Yes, Badabing. Of course

Other possibilities are voila or bingo-bongo-bango.

    Capeesh?

I wonder if slowly snapping and/or crunching a bundle of celery would produce a decent sound.

I'm of the opinion that filling the hollow in celery with pasta would work fantastically.

Either celery, or something with a real thick stem. I always imagined the sound of Vader breaking Captain Antilles neck as being someone crushing a thick stem (perhaps celery) inward, or snapping it (or some combination). I suppose filling it with pasta might add sort of nice fleshy sound to it.
