Gaming In the time of video game “remakes” become more common

I was reading that video games some are getting remastered but some are getting a remake like Star Wars did with the special edition trilogy

I thought I could start a thread of video games getting a remastered or remake and to ask which games do you want a remake of or remastered of in the future.

Remakes of old games are more common now just like directors cuts of movies that have not been released yet on the contrary might have its releases too.

So if you could pick any or many games including Star Wars games to be remastered or a remake which list could it be?

 

Why is the only thing I can think of when I read this title "in the time of chimpanzees there was a monkey"?

I would love to see some Medal of Honor games as more of a remake than a remaster

In my opinion which I doubt will happen is have two separate of the same game one is the original version and two the remake so fans of new can tell the differences.

 

A Breath of the Wild/ Tears of the Kingdom-style remake of the first three Zelda games would be amazing.

 

It's been rumored about in the past, but I think a remake of Final Fantasy IX would be great.

 

I think the FFIX remake has been confirmed.

I'll believe it when I see any official word. A remake of FFVII was only a rumored pipe dream for almost a decade or so before Square Enix shocked the world at E3 2015 .

I would like to see "Castlevania", "Castlevania II: Simon's Quest" (to get a remake akin to a fan remake that brings it in line with the early games) and "Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse", all similar to "The Dracula X Chronicles". I would also like to see a remake of "Final Fantasy V" and FFVI like FFIV.

In terms of remasters, I would not mind pixel remasters of the 2D CV games and the GBA "Metroid" games and a HD remaster of "Samus Returns".

I'd like to see a remake of Wet for the PS3/XBox360. It was a unique under-the-radar game that didn't get the fanfare I think it deserved.

Edit I enjoy watching Mike Matei and Erin and other gamers on YouTube.

 

There were several remakes of Pitfall but they weren't very good. The PS2 one was decent.

 

Where can we access so many fan made video games including Star Wars ones, retro or 3d?

I think there are more fan made games, hacks and mods then actual console games that have been released in retail stores period.

 

I'm watching YouTuber The Ladslade play the PS2 one right now. Thank you for telling me it exists. I also wouldn't mind watching the original Atari game being played.

 

If I were super rich, I would try to create my own emulator console to work with all videos games from all consoles and pc from the past present and future.

It would also include to work with every fan made games, hacks and mods, past present and future.

Maybe with AI technology,video games can look like live action movies as we play the games at the same time.

Definitley a short game by today's standards, but it was a fun 3D beat-em-up that I'd say was ahead of its time; considering that console generation.
