Information on NJO needed for Fan Fic (spoilers of the NJO books)

Hello everyone,
I have a quick question (maybe harder than most questions). I am really into Star Wars, but for some odd reason I could not get into the books from pretty much the Dark Empire series on (I know, I know, a lot may think it's blasphemy, but it's ONLY my opinion.) I don't think they are bad. Like I said, I just can't get into them.
On that note, I want to write a somewhat far future fan fic and was just curious if someone could give me a page or so long synopsis of all that happened in the NJO saga from beginning to end. I know it's a lot to ask, but if there is anyone out there who was a big fan of the series, has some time on their hands, and wouldn't mind helping out another fan; It would be much appreciated.
Basically, how did the Yuzang Vong enter the scheme of things, what are they doing to the galaxy? what happens with all of the jedi? does any major character die? are there dark force users? I hear they aliens are immune to the force, is that true? Also heard coruscant is attacked, how damaged is it? Is the entire world destroyed, or just hit hard (like is it still the capital of the galaxy at the end of the series)? How do they defeat the Vong guys? What do they want with the star wars galaxy?
Like I said, a lot to ask, but if anyone were willing to help me out it would be very appreciated.

Okay the Yuuzhan Vong are trying to take over the galaxy. They pretty much come in and try to take over everything. Yes, they are outside of the Force. It's very odd and annoying. They also use bio-technology and think machines are abominations. They relish in pain and tattoo and disfigure and transform themselves. Pretty much, the more implants you have the higher up you are.

Many of the Jedi are captured and killed b/c the Yuuzhan Vong try to study them and aren't overly fond of the Jedi because they don't understand the Force and the Jedi use machines. There aren't any dark Jedi unless you count Jaina Solo slipping briefly to the dark side and back.

The main characters who die are Chewie *sobs*, Anakin Solo, Ganner Rhysode, Admiral Ackbar, Lusa, and a bunch of other people who I'm drawing blanks on. Oh, fyi, Luke and Mara Jade are married with a son named Ben, who is 3 at the end of NJO.

Coruscant was taken over and completely redone. The Yuuzhan Vong tried to convert all the metal into its bio-tech. The Yuuzhan Vong were defeated when Jacen Solo, Luke, Mara, and others went to find this living planet call Zonama Sekot were the Yuuzhan Vong originated. It was in the battle with Sekot that the Yuuzhan Vong were defeated and surrendered.
