Intro ofFanforce at FSFS Meeting

This thursday is the October Business and Social Meeting.
It would be great if as many as possible Fanforce Members could attend for an Introduction of Fanforce to the Fredericton Science Fiction Society. We have a good crew that would like to find out more about Fanforce. For Location, Time and Directions please email us at FSFS@nbnet.nb.ca

 

This would be a great opportunity for people to find out what other activities are going on around town.
With a good showing, we might even manage to recruit new members... on both sides.

By the way, is there anything like a recruitment poster or one page flyer that could be printed out. Something that helps explain what FanForce is and what it offers? Something eyecatching that would look good on a bulletin board.

Nav I have never heard of one but I will do some digging and see if there is anything around...

 

I've heard of other fanforces making up flyers and posting them. I don't know of a basic format for them.

I sent you a PM with a list of the 10 people who showed for the meeting.
I'm open to suggestions for the next meeting, although I imagine most people have Thanksgiving plans this weekend.
I think we can get a spot on the UNB campus courtesy of the FSFS, and they've invited Fredericton FanForce members to attend a Halloween party on the 17th. (Details to follow)
As for a CR, we can talk about that at the next meeting. When do we have to have one selected by?

Halloween party? I'm there! Halloween is like Christmas to me. No sickness will keep me from that!

 

A Halloween party could be fun...but I know Ryan and I can't be there on the 17th. We have a special event at the church that night.

We should have a CR selected by the time we're ready to be a chapter, basically. So at the third meeting, when everything becomes "official" is a good time to do that, picking a name, etc.

It's a pirate costume party, with only two rules:

• You need to wear a pirate costume, and
• You need to bring food or drink to share

If you think you might go, let me know so I can PM the directions as soon as I get them, or you can send an email to fsfs@nbnet.nb.ca and ask to get on the mailing list, that way you'll know before I do.

There's an FSFS meeting tonight at 8PM in the regular room, D405 of Gillin Hall on the UNB campus.
FanForce members (and anybody else that's interested in SciFi or fantasy) are welcome to attend, though this is not meant to be a FanForce meeting.
In addition to regular business, there will be discussion about the next COMUNICON gaming convention which will be held this January on campus. (A Star Wars GM is scheduled to run a game at the convention)
