I've had that before but it sorted itself out eventually. Is it happening to all the files?

What does it do? Is it something like 'Remotly qued' or 'Qued'? If it is right click and click 'Resume download' it should begin searching for it then.

no no, the download completes. I open the file in my media player, and it plays for a few seconds, and then silence. it says it's still playing, but I'm hearing nothing. about midway through the song, it cuts back in for a few seconds, then it's gone again, and so on. it's not all files, it seems to be mostly hip hop songs.

I think he means the song buggers up after it's been completely downloaded. At least I think that's what he means - I've experienced it before a few times when I was trying to download the Chicago soundtrack... I just assumed it was dodgy files online because it's been fine with damn near everything else

Ah its just a faulty file then or something. What are you palying them on? Real Media Player or Windows or other? Try it on different ones to find out if its the player or the song, if it continues to go bad its proably a corrupt file and you'll need to download a better quality one.

You could always do yourself a favour and stop downloading hip hop.

It might be screwy files, but it's done this on at least 5 occasions, and they were all files that numerous people had(there were little + beside them), very popular songs. If the file itself was messed up, why would so many people have it?

Only thing I can suggest is closing down Kazaa and restarting - that might work

Thats simple Doc. If 1 person has a corrupted file, and 2 people download that file from him, not deleting it, that leaves 3 people with the file. Say the same happens to each of them, thats 2 per person, meaning an extra 6, making 9... and so on. Meaning that the corrupted file becomes widespread, and seemingly popular, downloaded right to your comp :D

right but why would they not delete when they see that it's corrupt? ?[face_plain]

Saint, if you are downloading alot of different songs and the problems still persists then chances are it's not corrupt files. If shutting down Kazaa and restarting it doesn't work, you might want to un-install it and then re-install it. That should solve the problem. Hopefully.

Sometimes it's a form of copyright protection. I downloaded some Evanescence songs from the album "Fallen" before it was released so at least 80% of the MP3s I downloaded from KaZaA had beeps or silence every 10 to 20 seconds. Someone in my family eventually bought the album, so it's all good.

    And like that...he's gone.

Sometimes I get something like that, but it's more of this earsplitting screeching type thing. I just delete the file and look for another, and I can usually find one without. Thought it might be worth a shot for you to try. :)

Uninstall Kazaa and then use Kazaa Lite. If the problem persists then go to Imesh, but Imesh has nowhere near the amount of files.
