Is is true that Padme's nipples were digitally removed from the movie?

It seemed that when I saw it in the movies you could see her chest more underneath her shirt when she was telling anakin that she was going to save obi wan.

Now on the DVD there are no nipples. Did they pay to take them out? ANd is there any comparison shots of the scene.. before/after

They weren't nipples-they were shirt seams. If you examine high-res pictures, you'll see the way her shirt is constructed involves seams that go directly across the bust.

And there's NO WAY nipplage would be shown under that shirt. Trust me-I could tell she had to be wearing about ten layers of padding there, and some serious support-bouncing HURTS.

 

Ahhh. This is why I signed up for the JC -- the in-depth discussion of the movies.

I dunno. I still see nipples pretty well in the right scenes. Let's just say you can tell it's cold inside that spaceship cockpit when they get the message from Obi-Wan.

Maybe you just saw it more in the theater 'cause it was a big screen and there was more detail?

I don't know. I seem to recall that being exactly the case, that Portman demanded GL digitally erase that. I heard this awhile ago though..

Of course its true.. and I used to have the pictures but lost them long ago. If anyone has a copy of a bootleg or something or caps from them.. you will see.

 

Trust me, they are still there, plain as day.

Of course there were -also- shirt seams, which kept it from being PG-13, but those shirt seams weren't alone.

Well, as it appears. They didnt stop at the nipples with the digital removal. Looks like they hit the delete button and held it for a second. Also, they have removed what if any, ass, she had. Natile Bordmen with Hayden Christenson on screen resemble big and little, brother.
