Couldn't you have asked this in your existing Xizor topic?

I'm pretty sure they met each other at one point or another. They certainly seemed to know of one another in Forces of Corruption. Which, on a completely unrelated note, had horrible voices assigned to both characters. But it was cool to see them in the same game.

Have either of the characters ever had decent voice actors? :p

What, you didn't like "Perpetually Angry Thrawn" from TIE Fighter?

Don't think we ever actually read of them meeting each other, but I'm fairly sure they were at least familiar with each other's existence.

Yep. It seems that Vader asked for Thrawn's help in undermining Xizor on Corellia, and locating the Rebel base. Also, when Xizor arranged an Imperial contact for Tyber Zann, who wanted to sell Jabba the Hutt's holocron to the Empire, Thrawn showed up, although it seems that he wasn't the actual contact.

I'm not sure I quite understand the chain of events based on Wookieepedia, though... what's the "evidence [Zann] planted", that Thrawn refers to...? [face_thinking]

Asked? Lord Vader was Supreme Commander (Executor?). I imagine he ordered the blue one's aid. :p

One of the earlier missions, Tyber frames Xizor for - IIRC - stealing tibanna gas from Bespin. Vader takes personal interest. Of course, Vader probably would've still blamed Xizor even if he suspected the frame-job just out of sheer dislike.

I'm suspecting that Vader wanted it done without anyone, including Palpatine, knowing about it. That's why he contacted Thrawn. [face_mischief]

Thanks! :D So, no hint of a direct connection from Thrawn to Xizor? [face_thinking]

Well, everyone knew Tyber Zann, back in the day. Also, Tyber Zann was BETTER than everyone, too.

I remember reading that story (I believe it was a 3-part story called, 'Side Trip') in 'Tales from the Empire.' However, I don't recall Xizor even being mentioned, just Black Sun. At the time, it sounded like Vader was trying to bring down the entire oganization.

And, yes, Vader did ask, though it was more of a deal. Thrawn completes the mission, and Vader gives him the Nogri.

Not at all. Tyber knew he couldn't battle Xizor head-on, and Thrawn leaves because he gets what he came for. At the end, the Dathomiri witch he semi-employs managed to get some secret Sith information out from under his nose. And he never actually "steals" the Eclipse, he simply raids it to get access to the Emperor's private files. The only person he outright defeats is Jabba, who at the start had tricked him into getting caught by the Imperials and sent to Kessel.
Most of Tyber's rise can be attributed to the death or removal from action of virtually all his opponents by other forces he had nothing to do with before they could retaliate.
Most importantly, Forces of Corruption was what made Empire at War worth playing. ;)

Oooh, interesting that they is evidence of some kind of interaction between them.

As long as Thrawn owns Xizor utterly and with complete ease, I'm fine with it... ;)
