I just finished Prelude to Rebellion, and it seems like he definitly loves them, but is he attached to them? Sylvn's dangar didn't seem to distract him at all from his mission, unlike Anakin who could barely go on after Padme fell out of the ship. So even though he went against the Jedi rules by having a family, did he get around it by not forming strong attachments to them?

Well, according to the NEGTC that fact that he is married, and had offspring makes him attached and against the jedi law, but he has a special edict allowing him to reproduce and be married, because of his planet's limited supply of men to women ratio.

According to the visual dictionary it is quite dishonorable to be married.

Rannik Solusar was reprimanded for both having offspring and getting married.

Anakin is obsessed with Padme not in love with her, contrary to what GL says in interviews. You can't know someone for 2 days, not see them again for ten years, then see them again and fall in love. He developed a crush when he was 9, and it grew and mutated until he saw her again in AotC.

But to answer your question, yes, Ki is attached to his family, he just knows how to think clearly in a crisis.
