Ah, that KITT! They are remaking the series you know? Only thing is (and anybody who has played Forza Motorsport 2 will know this), american cars can not negotiate a corner. All the baddies have to do is get in a european or japanese car and they're away.... ...still don't understand the poll though, I thought scanners was a horror flick????
The new Knight Rider TV movie pretty much sucked and the guy that they have brought in to run the planned series has stated as such (forgot his name, or what he had done recently sorry). When it does go to the series, it will have a mostly new cast and a totally different tone, which it needs badly! As for "Is Kitt a Cylon" question.. If the final fifth Cylon turns out to be anyone other than Adama or Baltar, then I think people are going to be pretty peeved. Think they might be even more peeved if it turns out to be a Ford Mustang voiced by Val Kilmer?? Wish Cylons were real. Then I could by a "Number 6" off the shelf and keep it as a play thing.
MAN i really want that to happen on BSG Yeah I just heard the new Knight Rider theme extremily annoying lost all the mysterious that the 80s series had Its GRUDGE MUSIC believe it or not. ANd yes the Ford Mustang why ? whats this craze with mustang we had seen this in Transformers ! I personally would have loved it if it was a Porche
American movies tend to star american cars unfortunately, in the case of Knight Rider they just took an American icon (the Shelby Mustang) hoping to give it wow factor. The fact that the car did not look anything special seemed to be lost on the production team. Transformers is a different kettle of fish - in the case of Bumblebee they had to go for something sporty yet affordable, hence the old Camaro. It worked for me, especially the transformation into it's modern day counterpart (something you could not do with "the peoples car"). Barricade (a Saleen Mustang) really looks the part as well; heavy, dominating and powerful.
KITT of old was sleak and fast and agile. A Mustang essentially is a muscle car, which sort of messes up what KITT is supposed to be. Does this mean if KARR is in it that they'll make it a Mustang also?
I would love to see the comeback of KARR but its been smashed to bits If they do it would be in their interest to be something else instead of a mustang
I would like to see the whole idea dead and buried, the original series was crud, the new movie is crud and the new series will probably be crud.
It might work if doen well, Battlestar Galactica & Doctor Who have had very successful revivals. And regarding KARR, it may have been smashed (which was odd since it was supposed to be as strong as KITT and KITT survived) but the lights still flickered afterwards, which allows the posibility of a comeback. If KARR was supllied with a driver as evil as it is then it would be good.
That evil driver could have been Garthe Knight estranged son of Wilton Knight, played also by Hasselhoff obviously. (see Below) [image=http://knightrideronline.com/reviews/season2/garthe.jpg] Garthe hates Michael because he believed that his father intended Michael to replace him . However Garthe does allies with KARR in PC/PS2 game weather that is canon or not its debatble THe lead man of the new film Mike Traceur (Justin Bruening) is the son of Michael Knight How much I love to see KARR with a evil driver that is equal to Traceur I would find extremly camp if Garthe had a son of his own who was also evil driving KARR and looked excatly like Traceur. Interesting enough the new film has nothing to do with either the Knight Rider 2000(1991) film or the Team Knight Rider (1998) television series. Could this film turn to be an another B*st*ard child series ?
