Is Natalie Portman A Good Person?.

i'm not sure if this belongs here but is natalie a good person? i heard some kind things said about her,

 

They thought about replacing her with Keira after TPM was done filming, if that's any indication of her personality.

 

How would they explain Padme getting a British accent?

It was rumor news between TPM and AOTC; I've heard it repeated since then.

And I'm sure Keira can act well enough to have a neutral accent.

Besides..Leia has a borderline Brit accent in ANH, so it wouldn't be too horribly bad for her mom to have one too.

 

The same way they explained it in the film?

 

Keira Knightly is a low rent, less talented version of Natalie Portman. She's also a rotten actress and utterly vapid. Why Hollywood has fallen in love with her is one of the great misteries of our time. Say what you will about Portmans performances in the prequels she did a better job than Knightly could ever muster. She's also far more attractive in my opinion than the gangly Kightly.

Did I say I don't like Keira Knightly? LOL

As for whether she's "a good person" I have no idea. I think you could ask the same of any movie star but unless you meet them you are never going to know the truth.

 

I feel pretty much the opposite. I've enjoyed Knightley in every film of hers I've seen, whereas the best I can say for Portman is that she's cute and that she managed not to ruin V for Vendetta and Leon (The Professional).

From what I've seen, it's quite possible that in person Portman is a wonderful and intelligent woman and Knightley is a spoiled *****, but that doesn't change the way I view their performances.

Knightley is kind of gangly, but she's got a great face and with the right clothes she's stunning.

 

I grew up watching Natalie Portman in star wars and have pretty much fallen in love with her since. I at least like her in pretty much all the movies shes been in (as specially V For Vendetta and The Professional) and as for Keira Knightly i think the only half way decent movie shes been in were the pirates trilogy -but thats about it and just for the record she is MAD anorexic.

 

If she was seriously anorexic there'd be physical signs beyond simply being skinny, like news about her breaking bones all the time.

 

I do not know Natalie personaly, although I wish I did , but she does seem like a cool person.

So Natalie is ok in my book.



Although I have no reason to there is something about Kiera that makes me dislike her. I can't put my finger on it though.

 

I'm wondering why you wanted to know? Thinking of stocking her? Want to know if she'll be cool about it? I'm her online security/bouncer at the chatrooms. No look, no touch, hurry up and buy, etc.

 

These are all actors. Just people. I've actually read Portman is a very nice person in interviews and articles about some of her theater work. She's a very hard worker. She looks like she does, gorgeous beyond reason, but is she ever in the press? No. Does she still work? Yes. I don't think it's an easy trick to look as good as she does with the talent she has without succumbing to some vice or a sorted private life we can critique on Nancy Grace.
I'm sure Keira is nice too. But in the end, they're all just boring actors.

 

Don't know what the purpose of this thread is, but I do know that one of our posters here at TFN is actually a 'real-life' friend of Natalie P. I sent a PM asking for any general, generic: "yeah, she's cool" kind of info...

I was tempted to ask if NP ever admitted to loathing all the green screen work.

I don't think she ever had to do anything as complicated as Ewan's Kamino scenes. IIRC, Natalie's scenes all had real people in them.

 

I've always suspected that particularly at first, Natalie may not have appreciated GL's directorial style. She may have felt that she needed a bit more TLC.

As to her worth as a human being, difficult to say through the media, but she seems pretty switched on.

 

i just wanted to know if natalie is a good person that's all pure curiousity.

 

Good person is a self defining quality.

She's smart. Even though she's a successful actress, she went to University [It might be Harvard, I can't recall]

She's caring. She participates in charities, and has done some PSA's for worthy causes.

She's artistic as you can tell from some of her roles she chooses.


also, she's pretty.

 

The Saturday Night Live Portman Gangsta' rap sketch on the V for Vendetta DVD is pretty funny too (And in a weird way very sexy)

 

That is very funny and perhaps shows that she doesn't take herself too seriously, which is welcome change amongst some of her peers.

 

All I can say personally, she is a very down to earth person, very easy to get along with. She is one of those kinds of people you can have long discussions without realizing you have spent hours talking about. No matter where you come from or where your from, she's a people person thats all i have to add. Nice topic by the way

I've got to wonder how this question is relevant in any way to a discussion of the PT films. Since when are we encouraged to discuss the personal lives of the actors portraying the SW characters? Are we allowed to make a thread in the OT forum debating whether Mark Hamill is gay? Or a thread in Saga discussing the grooming habits of Ian McDiarmid? I'm a little confused.
