I am refering to the scene where Anakin says goodbye to Obi Wan as he and Padmé leave for Naboo. There Anakin is wearing clothes very similar to the one Qui Gon wore in the duel with Maul. On its left is a red stain on the exact same place Qui Gon got his fatal injuries. I believe Anakin "inherited" Qui Gon's clothes and that the red dot is Qui Gon's blood. What do you think?

Very minor detail, but it could be, I haven't seen it though.

Qui-Gon´s clothes were cremated along with his body.
But maybe he has the red dot there as a reminder....

Only if they haven't washed it in 10 years.

I can't see them being morbid enough to not only hang on it, but it give it to the apprentice of the guy Qui-Gon was with when he died.

I doubt it's Qui-Gon's blood. It seems like a more honorable way to remember Qui-Gon would to have Anakin weild his lightsaber :)

Or maybe the dot is there because Qui Gon is watching Anakin through the FORCE.

I'm partly joking with this statement but I'm pretty sure Lucas adds this on purpose. Don't try telling me it is a coinsidence Anakin is wearing "dirty clothes" when escorting Padmé who is wearing a very expensive and stylish clothes.

Or maybe it was just a reference to that Seinfeld episode, perhaps.

I have no idea what it could be, but it probably has some importance. :D

What Seinfeld episode - you mean the one with the shirt George bought for Elaine that had a red dot. Possible - especially as Lucas has borrowed from Seinfeld before with the line "I don't care what universe you're from that got to hurt" is very similar to a line from the India episode.

But in the future be more serious with your responses as I am serious about the topic.

Those aren't Qui-Gon's clothes, BTW. Qui-Gon wore light brown and tan. Anakin wears dark brown and black.

Anyhow..as to the blood stain..I haven't seen it, but maybe you're onto something here.

Well, remember that they were trying to look like they belonged on the transport and the transport was filled with people who wore kind of used clothes. Maybe he got the junky one to fit in.

Except Qui-Gon never wears that poncho during his duel with Darth Maul.

"Those aren't Qui-Gon's clothes, BTW. Qui-Gon wore light brown and tan. Anakin wears dark brown and black".

Clothes can change colour in ten years.

"Except Qui-Gon never wears that poncho during his duel with Darth Maul".

Yes he did. He wore it inside his main clothes during the duel. Look closely at Qui Gon and you realize he is wearing it. I checked it the first time I noticed this.

Over those years, don't you think someone may have washed it?

I don't think it is the same poncho Qui-Gon wore as a disguise in TPM.

I don't see a blood stain either, though I guess I could be missing something.

When you say he is wearing it during the duel, I think you may be confusing it with the inner tunic worn under the outer tunic and the obi/sash and belt. Qui-Gon is not wearing the disguise/poncho during the duel with Maul.

Qui gon wasn't wearing his desert tunic when he was killed! I'm sure this very smelly old cloak that Qui Gon "wore" when he was killed was worn by Anakin, then shown hanging on Ben's wall?
