hey i just was wanting to listen to the music w/o playing the game, do u guys know if there is a CD or if there ever will be? Thanks ID2
To the best of my knowledge, there is no soundtrack album for KOTOR, nor is one in the works. However, I just came across the soundtrack online a few days ago when I was reading KOTOR fansite boards, and there is a site that provides the soundtracks to a number of Lusasarts games that don't have commercially available releases, and one of the is KOTOR. There are 49 tracks, but only two are longer than a couple of minutes long (even though it's still a total of 71 minutes of music. It can be found at http://soundtracks.mixnmojo.com/. I just hope this doesn't violate any rules, and if so, I apologize. If there was a commercial release, I wouldn't have mentioned it.
I don't think there's any official OST... but try checking out this topic. EDIT: damn, Galahad beat me to it.
If you Have Kotor for Pc. You can go to the stream music folder in the Kotor directory. And copy the files to a different folder and change the file to a mp3. Example (meadow.wav just change the wav to mp3). Then you can listen to the beautiful Music of Kotor! Also when you change the file to a mp3 a box will say You might not be able to use it after you change the end ignore this. When i changed mine to mp3s a few didn't work. Make sure you Copy and Paste to a new folder other wise the music will not work in the Game.
As Galahad S. said. It's an excellent KOTOR track site. *Wishes someone would make them for Homeworld 2*
Yes, 19 and 20 are beautiful. But 12 is my favorite. It's quite meloncholy, haunting, yet a kind of regal beauty. \\turns on "Bastila Shan" on iPod \\
KOTOR music rocks!!! Well, now i got that off my chest.... One of the best pieces of music has to be Bastila's theme. What a beautiful piece for piano and cello. Second best is the Sith March / Attack on the Endar Spire. Gives the Imperial March a run for its money, IMHO. I also love the Taris Upper City Music and the Dantooine prairie music. So peaceful... The theme for Czerka Corp is nice and sleazy, too. So what are your favourites?
