iTunes Download question

Question for those of you who download music from iTunes - If you're downloading an album, can you stop the download midway through and resume it later? I'm currently downloading the Jarhead soundtrack, and I'm on dialup. While I'm willing to wait for the entire time, but I wouldn't mind cutting down on the time a bit.

 

I believe that you can because once my computer crashed during an album download and when I click on the album in the store again and it'll say that you already own it and it'll resume.

And, will it resume automatically, or do I need to click by album again?

 

Uh, yeah, you better get someone to double check on that because I'm not 100% sure (certain though, but not 100%).

 

In general, if a download is interrupted partway through, the store should pick up on that and prompt you to resume the download next time you long in. If that doesn't happen, explain to Customer Service that yu were disconnected partway through your download and they should reauthorize your account to download the tracks.

Alrighty, thanks. I'll probably give this another hour and a half or so, see how we're doing. It's going decently, because the tracks are fairly short.

 

Yeah, my computer crashed during the Serenity soundtrack download. But eveything was shiny after my computer booted up again and I went back to iTunes.

 

Heh, that's why I prefer to purchase the actual CD. However, once I get to somewhere with high speed internet, I'll probably go to internet downloads, because it's cheaper.

 

Yeah. You can purchase something, and then not download it, but do it later. I did it a while ago with a few tracks.
