Speculation Jabba the Hutt... Will he return??

I would expect to see him in some capacity in the Han Solo movie and the rumored Boba Fett movie, but I'm no SW expert. I would also love to see him back with a practical body. Am I off the mark?

 

I wouldn't be surprised if he shows up in a Boba Fett or Han Solo movie. Maybe even that live action series they've talked about years ago.

 

Hopefully they will use practical effects. CG Jabba looked hideous.

 

Do you think he'd have any reason to be in Rogue one?

 

I don't think he'll be in Rogue One. I could see him appearing in the Han Solo film, and I can certainly see him appearing in the Fett film.

 

How and why Leia gains the DS plans seems to be through a military raid in which the Rebels launch a ground and air assault, with the Imperials distracted a rebel commando manages to steal the plans. So its very unlikely that Jabba will appear in RO.

Now if there was a situation like what happened with the secret DS II information, where Bothans were responsible for gaining the crucial news. Now if they switched Jabba and his criminal empire for the Bothan's then that could be possible.

I hope so. But I must say, the Han Solo film scares the crap out of me! I just don't think anyone can pull it off...

 

Boba Fett will probably end up IN the Han Solo movie.

I'll believe that when i see it. Guillermo del Toro teases movie after movie that never get made. Remember At the Mountains of Madness? Justice League Dark? I'd like to see a SW movie by him but if i hold my breath for it i'm liable to suffocate.

 

he didn't tease anything nor is he making the movie, just saying that he would be interested in making a Jabba SW movie. Whereas Mountain and Dark he was actually hired to do so....

 

Maybe the young Han Solo movie.

 

LOL! He could use the Hutt Families Story Arc from The Clone Wars Animated Series. Imagine seeing Ziro the Hutt and Mamma Hutt in a Live Action Star Wars movie.

Jabba related question: How come he looks identical in TPM and ANH which is set like 30 years apart, yet he looks completely different only a few years later in ROTJ? lol

 

That stuff in his pipe changed his appearance and made him immobile after smoking it a few years.

If Jabba shows up, it will most likely be in a Fett or Solo film.

 

I figured the main saga could have a parallel to Kylo. The son of Jabba seeking revenge on the Solo family.

 

I'd be quite surprised if he doesn't show up in one of these films, honestly.

 

I expect Jabba and Boba Fett to appear in Han Solo's movie, even if it's a small cameo. I want them to explore the other bounty hunters, not just Boba Fett. IF they make more than 1 film, Boba Fett could make an appearance in part 2.

 

Aurra Sing is a much more interesting bounty hunter.

 

Yeah, but no where near as popular as Fett unfortunately.

Yea, Han's beef with Jabba was a pretty big element of his character and basically the reason he accepted Obi-Wan and Luke's proposal in the first place. Han and Jabba go way back. So it would only make sense for Jabba to make an appearance in the Han Solo film.
