This is the Jack Black fan club, Jack Black is one of my favorite actors and I think he's underrated. As a singer/guitar player and an actor.

    Jack Black's BIO
"Lead singer of the rock/comedy duo Tenacious D and a frequent presence on film and television, Jack Black was likened by some to comedians John Belushi and Chris Farley both for his high-energy outrageous antics and his heavyset frame. Dark-haired, with intense eyes and rubbery features perfectly suited for his expressive performances, Black nearly always look disheveled and about to snap, whether sporting long hair or a buzzcut. A member of Tim Robbins' Actors Gang, Black made his feature debut in Robbins' directorial debut "Bob Roberts" (1992) playing a crazed fan of the titular folk singer turned politician. He followed up with memorable turns in the Robbins films "Dead Man Walking" (1995) and "Cradle Will Rock" (1999). The latter paired him in an inspired scene with longtime collaborator Kyle Gass, an actor and guitarist who formed Tenacious D with Black in 1994. A band described by Black and Gass as the two-headed love child of heavy metal pioneers Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden and Molly Hatchet, (as well as the far less accurate label Greatest Band on Earth), Tenacious D's comedic repertoire featured songs with subjects ranging from Sasquatch to their own hordes of willing groupies. Black and Gass' innovative efforts landed them a spot as a special musical guest on "Saturday Night Live" as well as winning Tenacious D its own self-titled HBO series (1999). Soon after, the band launched sell-out nationwide tours without the benefit of a released album."

I don't really care for Tenacious D, but Jack Black is one of the funniest men in hollywood. You're right, he is very[/b] under-rated.

I don't know if he's doing OzzFest. But his role in "Orange County" was great he did a good job with acting baked throughout the whole movie. Saving Silverman was also another favorite role of mine.

High Fidelity was a real eye opener when it comes to Jack Black. Unfortunately, I think he's been, in generally, taking bad roles afterwards. Still, I have hope for him to stun and make me laugh til I hurt.

I think he's been funny in all of his comedy movies. Shallow hal wasen't that great though the movie was just working for me... High Fidelity was a good movie though Jack did a fantastic job, Jack always cracks me up.

I like Jack Black! Here's his allmovie.com profile:

    And Tenacious D's allmusic.com profile:

I recommend the film "Jesus' Son" to anyone who hasn't seen it. Jack Black is unbelievable in his limited role... and Billy Crudup is excellent as the protagonist.

Edit: Oh, and I saw had the pleasure of seeing the 'D' live, opening for Weezer last December -- and they put on an incredible show!

I liked Jack Black's SNL monologue song:

    [image=http://snltranscripts.jt.org/01/pics/01kmono.jpg]

    "Feels like a dream
    like some delicious fantasy.
Seems to me it can't be real,
    but it is.

    A beam of light
shining down and engulfing me on the stage.
For the first time in my life, I can see
that the lucky one is not me, but you
because you get to see me!

The most talented man that the world has ever seen!
    It's me!
Like a cross between a lightning bolt and James Dean!
I only wish that I was you looking at me!"

I mean, wow! This is where Eddie Murphy worked.
This is where John Belushi and Gilda Radner stood - right up here.
    And now I'm here!

"And I'm-a blowing them off the stage with my intensity!
Erasing their memory from the annals of history!
Changing the way that historians think about comedy!
Come on now, Cage, twin tin flute solo, come on!"
