I did some math, and what I came out to was 4 foot 10.5 inches. Which ever it is, yeah, that's pretty short. I always imagined her a little taller than this.

 

Well, Leia's short (not that short), and Padme's not exactly that tall either (although still taller than that). That's probably her height in YJK or something. Like in JJK Anakin was 1.5 meters, but now he's taller.

they updated the official site anakins 1.73 and jacen 1.79 so this probably updated her height as well.

 

I've always though that those measurements were a little messed up. It shows Han as being only 5'10". It says Chewie was 7'5". I don't know how tall Harrison Ford really is, but he wasn't only 5 inches shy of two feet shorter than Chewie in the movies. Plus, it show's Corran (5'5") and Wedge (5'6") as being really short for men.

 

yup, i think those heights are messed up. if not, i feel really good because i'm only 5' 3"!!

or maaaaaaybe.... gravity on human-populated words tends to be higher than our own gravity, so maybe average height is a little shorter in the GFFA?

 

That could be possible, but it still doesn't jive with whats shown to us in the movies.

 

I'm 5'4, and I always feel so short, because everyone in my family is tall.

I never imagined Jaina as quite that short, even if she was described as small.

 

In the book I, Jedi Corran states that he is shorter than Luke.
And we all know Luke is not very tall - about 5'7 or so. Wedge and he were approximately the same height so I belive those measurements are accurate.

 

I believe Corran and Wedge's heights are correct - it is stated in several sources that fighter pilots are shorter than average so as to fit into a cockpit better.

 

Yeah..but Jaina's sucha shrimp. Even Kylie Minogue is taller than her. Have you guys noticed that with each generation of Skywalker/Solo women..they grow up tinier than the other? I mean..Padme was an average height..like 5'5..and Leia was like 5'2 or 5'3 but Jaina is so midget-like.

 

I don't think that is her actual height as of the NJO.

Well, remember that for a time she was taller than Jacen, and I'm quite sure that they weren't both that short in YJK. There's no direct references, but from inference, Tenel Ka is a pretty tall woman, Lowie's definitely tall, and they all stand together. So no, at that time the twins weren't both less than 5 feet, I'm quite sure.

I think whoever is doing those conversions knows crap about the metric system.

Jaina is 149 centimeters, or in Amaerican 5'1" or 5'2". All these poeple need is go to their mom's, wife's, or girlfriend's sewing box and find a measuring tape with inches on one side, and centimeters on the other. Sheesh.

Ok........right..... 149cm is 58.6 inches, which is 4 ft., 10 inches.

EDIT: BTW, she's not 4'8". The conversion says 4.88 ft, but .88 feet isn't 8.8 inches, its approximately 10".

I have a sewing box. Who else is going to sew my buttons and seams? My mom was a professional tailor at a couture house in Vienna, Austria. She could sew men's suits from scratch as well as ball gowns. The full gamut. She taught all of us to sew. It's not only a girl thing.

I think of Jaina as 5'2". That's all. There's no need for her to be that short. Han is tall and so was her grandad. I wish she would be six foot even. That would be feminist.
