On WookiePedia (Wonderful source, I know)on the listing for Mird (Lord Mirdalan), Jaing Skirata's pet Strill, it days that Mird reacted as though the animal know Jaina Solo, is there any basis for that comment? Had they ever met before? Sorta like Garik "Face" Loran telling Luke that he had met Luke earlier but couldnt tell him the alias because it was confidential.

Can strill detect a Force user? Perhaps that's what Mird was reacting to.

I havent seen anything that suggests they can. I think that would make them too close to Voxyn. Only characteristics of Strill are they can fly and their life span is a couple hundred years. But, their may be more about we just dont know, from the way they wrote about the Strill they seemed to have alot of hidden qualities too.

When I read that, I assumed that Mird recognized her force ability and associated her with Etain. Especially after Mird's "bonding" with Etain in True Colors.

He thought she was Etain, apparently, because Jaina was also of small stature, female, and a Jedi. They all look alike to Strills..

Yeah, even if it can't directly sense Force-ability, it probably senses similarities between people. Jedi probably have a lot in common as far as bearing and stuff...
