Thought I'd start a general discussion today about James Bond.

Who is your fave? Whom do you think should be the NEXT 007? What is your fave theme tune? Fave baddie? Etc...

Thunderball is my favourite Bond movie Cause you get to see Bond go about things using stealth.

 

Favourite Bond - Brosnan, followed by Connery

Favourite Villan - hmmmmm... <thinks a while> I'd have to plump for Scaramanga (Christopher Lee) and Alex Trevelyan/Janus (Sean Bean)... and I think that's more to do with the fact that the actors who play them are both superb and the latter is a bit of a honey

Favourite film - Tomorrow never dies!

Favourite theme song - World is not enough with Goldeneye coming in a close second.

Favourite Bond Actress - Michelle Yeoh and Judy Dench - with an honourable mention for Famke Janssen.

Favourite Gadget - Q! I know he doesn't really count but... he will be missed awfully!

BTW - it will be interesting to see what Madonna does with the theme song to 'Die another Day'

 

I nearly had a heart attack this morning when Jon suggested that Jude Law might be the next 007.

That would be too good...

 

Madonna's doing the next theme tune!?! Hmmm, I don't know about that.

My favourite Bond Song was For Your Eyes Only by Sheena Easton followed closely by Carly Simon's Nobody Does it Better.

favourite Bond Girl: Talisa Soto, Mmmnn , sultry latin looks. But Ursula Andress In Dr No was cool.

Bond: Connery.

Gadget: The Lotus

next bond: I'll think about that one.

 

Next Bond...

Either Ewan McGregor or Hugh Jackman. Both would be very believeable... as well as being total eye candy!

 

the next bond will be someone plucked from the unkowns... bond makes actors they never use made actors... they only use made actors for the baddies

 

Jude Law's too much of a pretty boy to be Bond, I think... too softly spoken etc.. dunno who could play him at the moment though other than Pierce

Fave Bond: Tie between Brosnan and Connery. Connery is the classic Bond, but Brosnan is the Bond of my generation...

Fave Tune: Live and Let Die... Spy Who Loved Me... Mr KissKissBangBang

Fave Gadget: The Lotus Esprit Submarine-Car

Fave BondGirl: either the CIA woman in Licence to Kill or Jane Seymour in Live and Let Die

Fave Villain: Jaws or Oddjob.

Fave Car: Either the Esprit Sub-Car or the DB5 from Goldfinger

Dumbest stunt: The start of Goldeneye when he drives off a cliff on a motorbike to catch the plummeting plane to pull it out of its dive.. that was dumb as hell and made me extremely angry.

 

I liked that stunt Sam.......

Jude Law is too young still. Colin Firth is a better age.

 

Fav Bond has to be Brosnan. next Bond? I dunno who I'd like but I reckon it'll be either Colin Firth or Dougray Scott (sp?)

Fav gadget - er, I always thought the moble phone car remote was pretty groovy.

Fav Bond girl, er, probably that one in goldeneye, isabella somone... Gotta love that Russian accent.
