Just look at his recent video, Unpredictable.

Mr. Foxx clearly believes he is the Bee's Knees, and that none of us can touch him.

    He needs to die, alot.

Unfortunately I did. I dropped out of life and became a vagabond, searching for something...anything to pick up the pieces of what had been my life.

Its a sad sad thing when you get upstaged in your own music video by Ludacris, a rapper with the charisma of a pineapple.

What do you mean gabe? Denzel Washington is far better than most of the actors in Hollywood today.

Man, I would take a bullet for Denzel.

And Laurence Fishbourne, Peter Stormare, Ewan McGregor, Djimon Hounsou, Cuba Gooding Jr., and De Niro.

But not Tom Cruise. I'd probably have to give one to him.

Just like Bruce Willis always plays a grizzle old morally ambigious policeman, and Harrison Ford always has the "YOU HURT MY FAMILY AND YOU'RE DEAD" roles.

I kinda like that song, Unpredictable. But what's up with all the triple-split screen hiphop videos nowadays?

And if anyone takes themselves too seriously in the music industry, see Lol Cool J (ft. J Lol) in "Control Myself."

    edit: oops wrong song title

To me, Jamie Foxx is the Tim Allen of the musical world. He thinks he's FAR better than he is, and as EBB truthfully stated, takes himself far too seriously. Jamie Foxx is not a great singer, and not always a great actor. Tim Allen is as funny as a piece of broccoli.

Now, for Jamie's acting, Stealth and Collateral might as well have been poop on a screen, and while his comedy is good, it's not spectacular (his early comedy is best).

Sure, he may be doing well at the moment in music, but his work on Ray to make himself sound like Ray Charles will only last him so far. If he can capture what he did in Ray and Ali, I think he may make it in film, since the quality of acting is so watered down, anyways (see Lindsay Lohan).

    Just my opinion. :)

Collateral was a good movie, and that had Tom Cruise AND Jamie Foxx.

And that makes it better? He was better than Cruise, I'll give you that, but I was not at all impressed with either of their performances, sorry.

Jamie Foxx also said that his first dream was to sing. He just used acting as a vehicle to get there!

I read this in an exclusive interview in Oprah's magazine :p

I liked it at first. I was like "cool, this is new! this is creative!" but now it has lost its novelty for me. (The last straw was LL Cool J and his split screen abs).

95% of Rappers take themselves too seriously. It makes me ill to listen to their lyrics about how their the greatest ever and all that crap.

Rap as a musical genre is facing serious creative stagnation, but since your average sixteen year old guy doesn't care, nothing will be done about it.

The Rap that is accesible to the average 16 year old(anything played on MTV, or pumped out to them on radio stations) is crap.

There is plenty of good hip-hop out there that is current, but you have to be willing to search for it, and not just accept what is being forvced down your throat by major media.
