Nice work! I like the blue outfit, that's not a color scheme you see every day.
If memory serves, blue is associated with Jedi healers, isn't it?

    Well done.

Yes, blue is associated with Jedi Healers, based on one line in a book:

The source is in The Evil Experiment, Jedi Apprentice #12, page 12: "The Jedi Healer, Wanna Di Yuni, came toward them, dressed in the light blue tunic of a medic."

thanks, im glad you guys like the outfits. the wifes, yeah, she chose that combo of colors out, and i had a seamstress make them up.

only thing i need to do to it, is add a small piece of velcro on top the shoulder and under the tabbard to keep them in place, she had a bear of a time, keeping them up, they kept falling down off her shoulders whilst we were shooting.

both our jedi belts, i made myself for both of us.

I like the blue, but she looks to be a little short waisted, and I think her outfit would look better with a narrower belt, many of the women I know are going with 2", instead of 2 1/2", for more feminine proportions. And her obi is definitely too wide for her frame. It looks like it's about 8", when it should be more like 6".

good eye on the Obi. it is 8 inches wide.

she is short in the body. i know i should have made the obi a lil narrower, but she likes it the way it is, for now, until i get a chance to find the material again that matches the tunic. i had those made off ebay. so a exact match was pretty hard to nab. its not exact but it was darn close.

the belt, well, it is 2 1/2 inches wide, same as mine is. i really dont think a 1/2 narrower gonna make much difference, so im leaving that alone.

other than puttin some velcro on there for the tabbards on the shoulders, i will remake a obi sash later, i just dont have the time now to do it, with all my vader stuff i have to get done, and i have to wait on parts to come in for it. im running short on time for that, as i have a con in just over 60 days to have it ready for.

thanks for the your critique, it verified the one thing i was thinking, and that being mostly the obi being too wide.

I might second narrowing the obi sash a bit as well. Whoever did your robes did a really nice job! And you did a great job on the belts. I recently got a darth maul-ish outfit from a tailor on Ebay, I'm pairing it with a long circle skirt and red Lekku for a distinct sith Twi'lek look. I wonder if you and I used the same tailor?

her uppers were made by some ebay guy, and my uppers i got from a ebay guy, that originally they were given to him as a present, by a friend who got them from costumebase off ebay.

i only gave 31 bucks for my entire uppers.

thanks for the belt compliments. i made them so theyre totally adjustable in the back, that loop of leather you see in back is a sleeve i made that slides over the actual buckles in back.

ok, ive been busy this morning. i remade her sash again, this time 6 inches wide, only got 2 strips of velcro to add and its done. i also added velcro on the shoulder and tabbards on both our costumes to keep them in line better. mine had loops with buttons but it seemed to move outward and the inside edge didnt stay up near my neck like it should stay. both are now in good shape, i used iron on velcro with a steam iron and a towel to protect the fabrics.

im going to also mod her boots. they have a tie that goes around and ties onto a knot. its a pain. so im thinkin of ripping the rivot out, and strings, and puttin on 2 buckles with straps instead. i can dye them black to match. and they dont need to be real big or thick, kinda like a womans dress belt, narrow 3/4 wide and fairly thin, with small buckles.

Lol. Actually there were two Jacks there. That one had the better costume, but the other one was WAY more in character. Ask Sola, she'd know. After all, she was in one of those pics with me...
