How good of a game is Dark Forces 2:Jedi Knight for the PC? I am getting it for christmas.

And if Jedi Outcast is Jedi KNight 2 And Jedi Knight is Dark Forces 2, does that make Jedi Outcast Dark Forces 3?

    Yeah it does.
The lightsaber fighting in DF2 is a letdown. I bought it for 10 bucks about 3 months ago. The only really great thing about the game is the story and some of the weapons. But if youre a lightsaber man, prepare to be dissapointed. There are only two moves for it.

JK has hunders of mods, including some amazing saber mods, like SaberX.

It's fun, the SP story is pretty good, and the mods give it plenty of replay value, and make up for some of its shortcomings due to its age.

The graphics on Jedi Knight are okay, but nothing to write home about. However, the gameplay is just pure fun. If you were a fan of Dark Forces, the original, then you'll love Jedi Knight. It's got great weapons, cool force powers, good enemies, good levels, and it's FUN.

I remember when the graphics were amazing. I also remember seeing preview clips of Kyle riding in vehicles that never made it into the game. Ah, memories.

JK was a great game in its time. Now it doesn't even compare to JO though. JK is fun, and has an interesting plot idea. Choosing light or dark is fun..... [face_devil]

As long as you dont have to be in first person the whole time, I'm good. I played Clone Wars and tried to do lightsaber combat in first person, and it didnt work to good.

    JK is awesome.

The Single Player is 1 billion times better than Jedi Outcast, simply because of the amazing story, IMO. :D

Very awesome game, you won't be disappointed. :D

You can switch from 1st person to 3rd person at any given time you want. It is your preferance. I loved JK (maybe even more then JO). I thought it was a bit more creative and intuative. You have to realize the game is years old so you can't compare it to JO in the gfx department. You'll enjoy it if you let that part by and enjoy the story.
