Jedi or Jedis?

I'm sure someone has debated over this before, but I always assumed that Jedi served as both plural and singular. In this video, they use the term "Jedis" but that's wrong, right?

I posted a comment about this on the video and I got a slew of comments ranging from "how do you know that?" and "no one cares!"

No Yane I totally agree with you! Jedi works as the plural as well and it is used that way in the films!! Whoever made those comments obviously don't hang out on this site and therefore their Star Wars fan integrity is very low They are ****s.

 

Yeah Jedi is the single and plural.


Another example being sheep.

 

Jedi is both plural and singular, though "Jedis" is used by Anakin in ROTS.

I was gonna say that the Jedi were like moose or caribou, but sheep works better.

 

Can you imagine saying "Siths" and Jedis"?! LOL. It sounds so...stupid.

 

I always thought Jedi and Sith were the plural form too, but I came across so many "Siths" that I had to wonder.

It's like fish or fishes; both are the correct plural form of fish.

But does that mean that sithes is also a correct plural form? I think not...

 

Tut-tut. Everyone should know that the plural of Jedi is Awesome and the plural of Sith is Even Awesomer!
